Very good points. My sentiments are similar. I will bet that all of the “Americans” left behind were Afghans who, by one way or another, got an American passport. But they are first and foremost Afghani, not American, and they choose to live in Afghanistan because it feels more like home to them than the West does. That’s my theory.
God help all that got left! Biden owns this mess.

No, that was a field grade officer in charge of the Marines guarding the airport if i recall correctly. USMC General McKenzie is/was responsible for forces in a nd around Kabul. He is operationally responsible for this goatrope. The dead Marines and Corpsman worked under his command.

Congressman Ronny Jackson put out a video begging Pelosi to call them back to session so they can be briefed and help people get out. He has American citizens from his TX district stuck in Kabul.
Many Americans have gone numerous times to the airport only to be turned away. Turned away because our US State Dept would not assist them in addition they sent orders to all surrounding area airports to not allow landing clearance for private jets trying to do rescue missions.
I read one mother went the last time at 5 am this morning Kabul time, the 15 year old son was beaten and the mother had a gun held to her head. They told her to leave and if she came back they’d be killed.
