They never say there, sipping their Chardonnay or Pinot Noir, with their buddies at the local restaurant or hotel bar, “you know, it might be time to pack up and get the hell out of here”? Never thought about that. They had so much confidence in this administration that they thought everything was A-Ok? Really?

State Dept and DOD have two options: negotiate safe passage for American citizens with the Taliban, if possible, or send the military into the city to bring Americans back to the airport before the Taliban gangs find them.
Maybe Josh Rogan can grab a plate carrier, M4, some extra mags, commandeer a Humvee and go door to door looking for American’s. Maybe he can show the world how it’s done.

Why were there any Americans left? Nobody in-country could see this coming? Are they *all* a bunch of Kool aid-drinking Biden drones?

Mostly no. They are in a war zone and subject to the whims of the bosses. They can try to drive to Pakistan, no go. They can try to drive to Iran, no go.
