National Nurses United wants the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to tighten its mask recommendations and call for mask-wearing regardless of whether an individual has been vaccinated against COVID-19.
"NNU strongly urges the CDC to reinstate universal masking, irrespective of vaccination status, to help reduce the spread of the virus, especially from infected individuals who do not have any symptoms. SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid-19 disease, spreads easily from person to person via aerosol transmission when an infected person breathes, speaks, coughs, or sneezes. Asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic infected individuals can spread infectious SARS-CoV-2 aerosols during breathing and speaking, without coughing or other respiratory symptoms," NNU Executive Director Bonnie Castillo, RN, wrote in a letter to CDC Director Rochelle Walensky...

They shoot themselves in the foot with their letter by first demanding a nationwide mask mandate, then demanding the CDC recognize that COVID is transmitted via aerosols (particles <5 µm).
Well....Masks prevent droplet transmission, not aerosol transmission (unless one is wearing an N-95 mask).
CDC doesn’t make laws.
Given the number of iatrogenic deaths each year is over 250,000, I’d agree with the assessment.
What is it with nurses and teachers unions? Are their members just naturally fascist and delicate little b!tches?
BTW......To date, every randomized clinical trial has shown that masks do not work. But 100’s of “science” articles using modelling studies (like climate change studies) shows how “wonderful” they are.
Just like teachers, eh?
They have either lost too many brain cells from rebreathing their own Co2 and can’t reason any more, or are uneducated about the harm of masking.

If you’re in an enclosed area with someone for an extended period of time what are the odds that any mask is going to stop the virus from entering your body?
I’d guess at somewhere between zero and none. Maybe even less than that.

My simple point is if masks have an efficacy (yes, that is not proven) when it comes to viruses it is many times more likely in close contact in closed settings but not out and about in random passing fashion in public spaces.
I see individuals walking down suburb streets all by themselves and all masked up. When I see it I think herd mentality.
