So I work for my local county (Upstate NY) and the new county administrator put out the edict as of tomorrow, if you are "fully vaccinated" (TM) then you don't have to wear a mask. All others do need to wear a mask on the job and social distance. Violators will be "disciplined"

No, this is not the mark but, the methods of coercion will be very much the same. That is why I say what I did in my previous post. It should only be 100% freedom of choice. We cannot allow this in this country.
I have no doubt that as time goes on, there will be even more to add to the list. With millions having taken this therapy, we are seeing what seems to be the largest experimental trial in my lifetime.
Can the employer require the "unvaccinated" to self-identify by wearing a mask?

I made mine out of panty hose. Cut the legs off, cut the toes off. Slit the leg and you have a nice wide strip of nylon. Tie the end in a knot. Cut of the excess. I’ve been doing this since the beginning, thinking I would be told it was unacceptable. (I work for NY State) Really, I did it as a protest. NEVER has anyone questioned it, at work, in stores, restaurants, even Drs. appointments! (Well, my wife says I am an embarrassment but what the heck) Anyway, that’s what I have used the whole time, no matter where I go. Just like breathing through window screen.
Let’s see. The first six are vaccines, the last is an experimental mRNA human test and experimentation.

Which part. Specifically.
First, don’t make a rash decision. Put on a mask and show up. Discuss with your supervisor your concerns and find out exactly what the repercussions will be. It’s County Government, so they will have a written policy. Find out what that policy is. At least then, you and your boss are both on the same page, and you can make an informed decision. Be careful about claiming a false exemption or a false vaccination status, as that could cost you your job too.
HIPAA will not help you. HIPAA applies to healthcare providers, not your employer, and requiring proof of vaccination has withstood legal challenge. My daughter is a nurse, and she has been required to provide vaccine records many times for school, and for every job she has taken. It’s not that uncommon in non-healthcare professions either.
Being at the County, is there a union? I hate unions with a passion, but if you pay dues, this might be the one time to give them a call.
Quitting and expecting to win later in court is probably a failing strategy.
Show proof of the disease. It’s very simple.
I want to go on record as saying I don’t give a hoot. I am retired and I believe everyone is responsible for their own health.
That said, I can only imagine the legal side of liability. I used to manage call centers where 300 people per shift worked with a few feet of each other. If someone is vexed and they get sick from some non-vaxxed person at work….the liability would be harsh. The public liability would be pretty severe as well.
I went through this with mandatory flu shots when I worked at a hospital. No shot? You wore a mask from Nov 1 through Mar 31. No exceptions. If you got it outside the hospital…you brought proof. No exceptions.
It was not a big deal. Everyone knew the rules.
Vaccine being the key word.
These are NOT vaccines. They are experimental, unproven, not fully tested (per manufacturers own EAU language), non-FDA approved agents.
I imagine all of the previous vaccines, on your daughter's records, were standard, FDA approved vaccines, in the past.
You assumption is that I am making assumptions. The only assumption I am making is that as a manager, this is the directive. This is how I would achieve compliance in my workplace.
I am not a doctor. I am guessing you aren’t either. I do what I have to in order to stay employed. This stuff happens every day in lots of places. You choose to work within the rules or not.
