So I work for my local county (Upstate NY) and the new county administrator put out the edict as of tomorrow, if you are "fully vaccinated" (TM) then you don't have to wear a mask. All others do need to wear a mask on the job and social distance. Violators will be "disciplined"

I suspect a great many have had Covid and not known it. I would have brushed off the “hrmmm, I might be coming down with something” feeling (which lasted 2 weeks, then left) had I not been a heart patient, and not sniffed a smelly candle tipping off my otherwise unnoticed loss of smell. I tested positive; wife didn’t get tested for it per se, but did test as having the antibodies later.
I think you mean principles.
I have friends who succumbed to the flu vaccine. Horrible deaths.

Have you had ANY vaccinations? Are you completely anti-vax or is it just this one because Covid played a negative role in the election?

No one here seems to understand what HIPAA is and is not. It has nothing to do with your employer requiring g proof of vaccination.
Uh, you're not making a big enough stink then. You need to go around local to national and piss off local. Not kidding. Local will come to you and complain about the chain-of-command, but what they will be really worried about is that you will inspire others locally to do the same thing. You want to get your union to actually represent your interests, brinksmanship is the only way.
And I don't care if your union knows you are hostile to them, you go right ahead and use their resources and demand they provide a lawyer or you will go right back to national and make a YUGE stink.
Also at this point, you need to become a diarist and write down every single thing you have done or has been done to you regarding this challenge from county, from the moment you found out the county administrator made this illegal ask. Your eventual private lawyer will want a timeline front-and-center.
So it's not at all surprising -- although tragically disappointing -- that far too many American parents would go against the advice of pediatricians around the world and subject their young children to the inherent dangers of an experimental medical procedure to protect them from a virus that presents an extraordinarily low threat to children.

Why? Intense reactions to the shot are common, and there is doubt about the long-term safety of the “spike protein” used to induce antibody production. If (debate over vaccine itself aside) he’d rather not get the shot, it’s the compulsion/coercion which seems downright illegal and worth opposing on principle.

Considering what has been known to happen in closets at workplaces, that line of reasoning may not be wise to pursue.

Which ones of those are mRNA, TUBby? And which ones that use 'more traditional' methods are as effective as the mRNA twins? And then which ones of those that used 'more traditional' methods were recently halted, er, paused, because of unexplained deaths?
If you like them that much, get 2 or 3 -- maybe a mix of Moderna and AstroZeneca/J&J and try that ChinoVax too, and report back LOL.
