Just Got the Edict on the Job: Non Vaxxed Need to Wear Masks

So I work for my local county (Upstate NY) and the new county administrator put out the edict as of tomorrow, if you are "fully vaccinated" (TM) then you don't have to wear a mask. All others do need to wear a mask on the job and social distance. Violators will be "disciplined"

I do take the FLU shot at this last place I've worked..but never required before. Only because they wanted to make me wear a mask...around patients...during the FLU "season"....If I didn't take the FLU shot...

Have not had the flu since I was a kid....And I'm NOT taking the Vax.

I’d wear a very lightweight mask that either says OBEY or has a pic of CommieCuomo with the nursing home deaths stats on it.

That would be tacit agreement with the idea that A) masks are actually effect and B)people that have not taken the Covid shot should wear masks.

Your two-year-old daughter deserves a better parent than one who would take an EXPERIMENTAL TREATMENT for a disease that has a 99.96% surviveability rate and if she's your biological daughter, you're not in the group (80 years-old-plus with co-morbidity) that would succumb anyway.

I have no problems with attenuated vaccines.

Read the notice carefully - does it specify that you have to be Covid vaccinated? Cause I am fully vaccinated for a whole lot of infectious diseases (Mumps, Chicken Pox, Measles, etc) so “fully vaccinated” is legally ambiguous.

Some particular jobs may need additional vaccinations, obviously because they are unusually exposed to a wide spectrum of viruses at an unusually high rate and can infect an unusual number if infected. Most people are only exposed to a dozen or so of the same people daily, most of whom are healthy most of the time - making the risk of vaccination itself equate or exceed the risk of infection. You working in healthcare may reasonably need Covid vaccination; I writing software in my back yard am at practically zero risk of contracting/infecting Covid in a professional setting.

There is also the fact the nation's apparent leading expert, advisor to the president, etc. has stated masks are no longer warranted.

At first glance, I would be inclined to argue the minute the manager made the request it constituted workplace harassment (but I am not an employment lawyer).
