Today, new information about Brown’s shooting death has been revealed by District Attorney Andrew Womble that could be a game-changer.
Andrew Brown Jr. hit deputies with his car before they fired shots that killed him, a prosecutor said Wednesday.
District Attorney Andrew Womble told a judge at a hearing Wednesday that he viewed body camera video and disagreed with the characterization by attorneys for the family of Brown Jr. that his car was stationary when the shooting started.
Womble said the video shows that Brown´s car made contact with law enforcement twice before shots could be heard on the video.
‘As it backs up, it does make contact with law enforcement officers,’ he said, adding that the car stops again.
‘The next movement of the car is forward. It is in the direction of law enforcement and makes contact with law enforcement. It is then and only then that you hear shots.’

Or shoot the ignition switch. Sheesh, do I have to suggest everything?
Let’s see the tape then.
If the officers are Krackers, they are racists and guilty. If the officers aren’t Krackers, our criminal justice system is racist along with the local police.
The family of the repeat felon who resisted arrest and threatened the life of several police officers settles for $20 million.
Welcome to Amerika.
I knew something like this was coming, and said “I’ll wait for the video”. Now we have 2 sides. Still, I’ll wait for the video.
Exactly, or shoot out the transmission lever to put the car in park.
Can or will they try to suppress the entire uncut bodycam video? I expect they will, unsuccessfully.
Well if that’s the case then we won’t hear much more about it.
exactly
Teachers have been breaking up ram the cop car for eons.
The cops should have fired warning shots in the air first.
If that didn’t work aim for the spare tire.
This is not rocket science people.
The problem is that a segment of our society who is amplified by the media does not care if inner cities stab, shoot, rape, burn, run over, steal, or kill each other. It’s just what happens in the hood you know....
At a party many many years ago I met a man and his wife. The man was fairly large and muscular but couldn’t help but notice he had these large indentations in the muscles of his arms and legs.
His story was that he and his wife were leaving dinner at a local eatery, driving out of the parking lot when they were swarmed with police cars. He kept driving to get out of their way, and they opened fire on him. Took several bullets. Turned out, wrong guy. Some kind of violent armed robbery had just occurred and the description of the perp went out on the radio... I guess he fit it.
“Andrew Brown Jr. hit deputies with his car”
Like that is going to placate the mob. I am surprised there hasn’t been major rioting yet. Maybe Antifa et al are afraid they will get more pushback in NC than they are used to.
I got word the judge overseeing this is refusing to have the bodycam video released to the public.
It’s true!
Judge denies request to publicly release bodycam footage showing Andrew Brown Jr.’s killing
These days no one would trust the FBI to investigate whether the early bird ate the nightcrawler.
My cousin was a drug cop down South. About 10 years ago he and his squad were busting a big-time heroin dealer in a parking lot. The dealer jumped into his car and started it and started backing out of the space. He was instructed to get out of the car but instead tried to back out through the cops. They yelled at him to stop. He stopped so no one shot at him but then he suddenly accelerated in reverse, ran over and killed my cousin’s partner. My cousin took him out and shortly afterwards retired. The problem today is that no one understands basic civics. The public hires the police to protect them and enforce the laws; and, the public’s duty is to respect the law/police and obey the police. Everyone of the recent hyped police shootings/killings reported was due to a member of the public breaking the law and disobeying the officers. Obey the law—no problem.
Finally, some more details! I had some real concerns when this was first reported, but wasn’t about to form any definitive opinions until more came out. Since the suspect was fleeing arrest and struck the police with his car (a deadly weapon), it seems that this is a justifiable shooting.
