Yes, and nothing other than sore injection site. Nothing.
Had the J & J vaccination on Wednesday. No sore arm at all. Developed a fever after about 12 hours that lasted about 15 or 16 hours. Low grade fever that never went higher than about 101° and was mostly between 99° and 100°. Slight headache for a couple of days.
I thought about waiting for the Novavax vaccine. Had a choice of J & J or Moderna but decided I’d go for the more established tech.
Not really concerned about clotting issues with J & J if that issue even exists, but it did make me look into the clotting effects of the supplements I’m taking. Turmeric, quercetin, bromelain(which is in my quercetin supplement to increase absorption), vitamin D, NAC, saw palmetto, astaxanthin, green tea, and fish oil have anticoagulation or antiplatelet properties. That has me wondering how much is too much. I’m not on any blood thinner meds (not even aspirin) but still....
But is is their decision. Why does that bother you so? They made it.
As noted prior, COVID-19 threads have a significant signal to noise ratio.
There’s enough sourced information out there for each person to make a data informed decision.
But at the end of the day, it is each person’s decision. And FReepers need to accept that.

Good grief, people. Don’t get so wrapped around the axle that others don’t see COVID-19 issues the same as you or don’t make the same decisions as you.
Unfortunately, there are FReepers on both sides that seem to not only disagree with the “other sides” but also antagonize and make the issues personal with insults and threats. A flame war erupts, rendering the thread essentially useless.
Provide references for your positions and argue as politely as possible.

Forgot to include melatonin in that list of supplements that I’m taking that have anticoagulation or antiplatelet properties. I’ve become a supplement addict during the COVID-19 era. I’ll drop some of those once my vaccination kicks in fully.

I’ve seen a bit more of what is going on in this country intelligence-operation-wise, in the shadows, than most, and I have a biotech background.
I think it is a 60% or greater chance the mRNA vaccines are actually a test of the technology, to see if the mRNA is fully degraded and the cells fully cease producing the coded protein. I think they have something else they want to use that tech for, maybe aging-related, maybe bio-enhancement. But they need to know, 100%, the mRNA degrades without persisting, or getting burned back to DNA, and they want a lot of data on it. An immunogenic protein code which would produce adverse reaction reports if it continues to be translated into a product years hence is a perfect way to test it.
There are a lot of really crazy, off-the-books research projects that are rumored to be going on a the behest of the elites along those lines. Janet Napolitano supposedly is one of the ones pushing it after a cancer thing she had, IIRC. There has actually been a well known democrat campaign guy who described campaign workers shuttling vans full of dogs to some secret off books research facility, and according to him, Pelosi is hip deep in whatever they were working on, which may relate to aging. She got drunk at a party and started talking about it, but he couldn’t make out what all she was saying, beyond some top researcher in cloning was involved somehow in some part of it.
The J&J vaccine is the superior technology, and I would get it if things weren’t penetrated by an off-books intelligence op, all over. The problem is the elites want that data, and want everybody taking the mRNA. When J&J adverse reaction reports first came out, I thought it might have just been media propaganda to drive people to the mRNA vaccines, but then it was revealed 15 million J&J doses are confirmed contaminated with something and got pulled, and now another 62 million more are suspect. I’m wondering if they contaminated it purposely to force people to the mRNA vacs.
Personally, I don’t want COVID whether it is as bad as they say or not, so I am just wearing a mask and sunglasses when I go out, and alcoholing my hands. I’m going to avoid it until we either reach herd immunity and it peters out, it devolves to a less virulent form, or a few years have passed, and we see if any real data on long term effects of the vaccines come in. Maybe by then whoever is interested in the technology so much will get out of the field, and a good recombinant protein vaccine like J&J with fewer reactions will be available and confirmable. Or maybe the mRNA will be shown to be safe after all.
Either way, there is not enough info now to make a decision, in large part because the people who disseminate the information are all liars working for a real invisible enemy.
IMO, anybody who tells you a good decision can be made now really hasn’t seen what is going on in the country.

Could not be happier to have gotten them.

I am not pro-vax (like you), nor I am not anti-vax...I am seeking information and hyperbole does not facilitate that.
Hmm IMHO what gets old is the attempted squelching of differing opinion.
How boring a forum it would be if everyone agreed on everything...
I’m 66 and have thus far avoided getting the vax. If I hear more good things about the yet to be released Novavax, I might consider getting it.
Bill Gates messaged me using my teeth fillings and said I can expect a Vaccine Chip update in June........after which, anything that works correctly now, will get messed up, and my brain will enter unexpected “Blue Screen” moments.........

Why would anyone worry about a virus with a survival rate of 99.5%?
I don’t begrudge anyone who takes the vaccine, especially the elderly and others with comorbidities. I just wish that the pro-vaccine crowd would realize that not everyone is terrified of the China virus and would respect our decision to not get the experimental jab.
Believe it or not, the only time when I’m reminded of the China virus is when I log on FR. It is simply not a part of my life. I haven’t changed anything about my routine.
I possess something stronger than a vaccine: A powerful Immune System. I suffer from several health problems, but I just don’t catch viruses. I have no chance in Hell of catching covid.
The China virus is not a terrifying disease such as Polio, Smallpox, Spanish Flu or the Bubonic Plague. It’s not even close.
Why do Pro-Vaxxers insist on everyone getting vaccinated? If you are vaccinated, you shouldn’t have to worry about anyone else. Correct? That’s how vaccines work.
I’m more than happy to donate my portion to a more vulnerable person.
