Question to everyone that has gotten the vaccine. Which one did you get and did you have a reaction.
Just call me Virus Mary...
LOL
And yet here in Massachusetts it's *Illegal* for any government official/employee to ask for an ID when registering a person to vote *or* at the voting place (I was told that by a Town official a few years ago).
Good one...
Its not safe to go out there in the crowds...
I’ve read this thread up to the point of your comment.
I have not seen any comments that advise NOT to get the jab.
Who are the anti vaxers you are referring too?
It’s a personal choice.
You chose to get the jab. I chose not to.
I don’t judge you for your personal choice.
Don’t judge us for our personal choice.
To each their own.
Go with Pfizer or Moderna. They have higher efficacy, and there is much much more data on the safety. Also, they’ve had time to get production working smoothly, J&J is still having issues as they ramp up.
I awoke from my nap after sleeping four hours and felt like I was back to 90%.
My wife had that with her first Pfizer shot on the 2nd day after the shot.
A DIL had the same reaction on her second day. Her immune challenged daughter had zero reactions after either shot.
why?
This untested (this is Phase III) vaccine is at least ~900x more deadly than the flu vaccine.
The wife and I are getting the JNJ vax Sunday. Will report back.
Prayers for you.
Had you previously had China flu?
I’m a 73 year old male and I got the J&J jab a little over 3 weeks ago through the VA. No problems.
My husband took the Pfizer........( &health wise he is my major concern)
.....he had absolutely no problems
....he Is taking a healthy dose of Vitamin D daily
I had the Moderna......no reactions other than.a bit of tiredness the next day
I’m also taking a daily Vitamin D supplement every day
When we took the vaccine we also took Ibuprofen before and after the jab......and every 4 hours through the day
LOL! Nice job!
I’m curious what goes through the minds of people who are scampering to get the vaccine. Is it fear? A sense of duty? I mean this sincerely.
Here’s my thinking. My wife and take international air travel every year. She usually is gone 2 or 3X per year (as Scuba Instructor and trip leader). Air travel is risky enough from a health standpoint, and most dive destinations are closed right now or demanding proof of vaccination or a proof that you are negative within 72 hours of departure. The vaccination is the easier way out.
That said, I’m not crazy about taking an experimental mRNA vaccine that has had only a “shake ‘n bake” trial. So that leave the JNJ vaccine.
As do I. I also take Zinc daily as the combination of Vitamin D and Zinc is supposed to be the most effective.
I read that here on FR, researched it to confirm it and found the posts here to be accurate. Hope this is helpful to you.
…well your picture does look old.
Is it a recent photo?
“I seem to be able to swallow field rodents whole and the scales on my limbs are coming in nicely.”
Do you snip the tails off first, or swallow them whole?
😂
**My doctor told me the antibodies fade after a few months.**
With Moderna and Pfizer, the reason for the booster shot is for the immune system to commit the virus’ spike proteins to “innate memory” so that immunity will perpetuate, so that your antibodies will not “fade after a few months”.
Have had both Pfizer shots (my workplace has rules)
First shot, sore arm for a couple of days.
Second shot, acutely sore arm for about 24 hours, but lethargy, chills the first day following. Second day, head felt like someone stole my brain.
But, third day and later, nothing of note.
Am 68 with early on-set diabetes.
I’ve only had the first Moderna shot - side effect was a sore / stiff arm - similar to when I get the flu shot, though a bit worse and longer lasting.
My parents after getting their second Moderna shot had a stiff / sore arm again and were very fatigued / tired the next day and that was it for them.
