Good point. I had to show a photo ID both times...to establish my identity,my age and my place of residence.

And yet here in Massachusetts it's *Illegal* for any government official/employee to ask for an ID when registering a person to vote *or* at the voting place (I was told that by a Town official a few years ago).

Strange... here in Saint George, Utah. We both got the J&J on Thursday, first day of availability here. We had the 2nd and 3rd time slots reserved at 12:05 and 12:10, but it was a disorganized mess at the senior citizens’ center with counter directives being given by various officious volunteers of stay outside, go in, go right, go left, check your name on the list to the right, left, straight ahead, don’t enter until noon, go on in, don’t go in, wait here, go there, go to the end of the long line despite your guaranteed appointment time... SHEESH!

By being aggressive, we did wind up getting in first, but not due to the organization of the people there... but there were still about fifteen people ahead of us in line. It seems the “appointment sign-ups” were useless, meant nothing, to the people at the center. They’d let people in by side doors, had friends come early, etc. There was also a line up for the J&J vaccines of about 100 people, despite it being by “appointment only,” with their door guards trying to tell us to get in the back of the line when we arrived at 11:30 for our 12:05 and 12:10 appointments with only one person supposedly ahead of us in line per their website. Say what? Get in line behind 100 or so opportunistic walk-ups? Not in this world.

Not once were we asked to prove who we were by showing our photo ID, yet they issued us a CDC government approved medical vaccine card in our names showing we had received the Johnson & Johnson Jannsen Covid-19 vaccine on April 9, 2021 and were officially granted the honor, privileges, and authorities attached to having received the degree of Covid19 vaccine survivor. I could have signed up as Daffy Duck and been accepted.

Side effects? My lady had developed a low grade fever by about 8PM, we both had head aches, body aching, and I had very crusty eyes during the night, so much so that my eyes were glued shut when I awoke at 3AM. I also found I was getting random pin pricks in various places around my body during the first 24 hours. Food tasted funny when we went to lunch at about 3PM the day of receiving the injections, including the glass of wine my lady had. Not bad, but everything had a slight metallic taste. This passed in a few hours. We did not experience it when we had a snack later in the evening. We both have mild symptoms of arthritis, both of us experienced flare ups of those symptoms beyond normal during the next couple of days. I have non-diabetes related neuropathy in my feet, this neuropathy had a strange flare up of both numbness and fire-like pain at the same time the evening of the injection. . . Which would go along with the random stabs of pin-prick pains, a similar phantom nerve firing symptom. The last two nights for me were disturbed by tossing and turning and very vivid, full technicolor, apparently scripted, dreams (my bed covers were very tangled in the mornings!) I wish I could remember all the dreams, they were quite interesting and enjoyable! My lady said she had fever spikes during the nights.

We both had apparent cases of a Covid19 like illness in late December 2019, early January 2020, before it was on anyone’s radar. We had travelled from Saint George back to Sacramento for Christmas to see family, and had flown out of Las Vegas McCarran Airport. On the way there, we’d stopped for breakfast at a Denny’s Restaurant and seated at a two-top table right next to a long table where they’d seated a large Chinese family of obvious travelers from China with many children, all of whom were sneezing, coughing, hacking and chattering away at the tops of their lungs in Chinese. We were not more than three teen away from the closest of them. Five days later, my lady came down with similar symptoms, lost her sense of taste, had a deep dry cough, aching, exhaustion, etc., all the symptoms we’d later know associated with Covid19... I followed about three days later. We both were moderately sick for two to three weeks.

We have had long haul symptoms which have continued to afflict us... especially the lack of energy. My lady later developed what has been termed Covid Toes and finds she gets exhausted with just a bit of exertion. For me, I found that I have developed something wrong in either my lungs or my ability of my blood to carry oxygen. I had a scheduled medical procedure in February, when they put a Blood Oximeter on me, they discovered that where I had been consistently at a 98% or higher Blood Ox level before, I was now presenting a blood os of only 88%! This is getting down into the dangerous level. They went ahead with my procedure, but strongly urged me to see my GP to explore what was going on with my blood O2 level.

My GP ordered an overnight O2 study which is just wearing a blood oximeter while I slept which is connected to a miniature recording device on my wrist. It found that I spent 256 minutes with my Blood O2 below 86% with drops down to 81%! YIKES! Good news was no sleep apnea where I stopped breathing. I now have to sleep with an Oxygen generator. Don’t need Oxygen during the day, as I average 91% to 93%, which is still within the “normal” range, but it does drop to 88% occasionally.

I decided to take the “shot” due to growing anecdotal evidence that getting a “vaccine” has in many cases helping people with “long haul” covid problems, with the exhaustion and lack of energy problems being relieved within a few days or weeks of getting their vaccine therapies. This is apparently reported more often with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine than with the other treatments, so I elected to try it in hopes of getting some relief. My Lady had also made the decision for the same reasoning.

PS: In re our early cases of Covid19: we immediately started a course of Azithromycin and zinc. Although we did not know about its later reports of efficacy on Covid19, we keep Z-Paks in stock (my lady, who is now retired from a 45 years as an RN, buys them from an off-shore pharmacy because she has a tendency have bacterial bronchial infections which can go into pneumonia that can lay her low if she gets a cold). We always complete the entire course. That’s most likely why our covid cases were mild and short.

My dental office also kept a supply in stock also. Heck, I did the ordering and a Z-Pak cost us only $1.25 for a full course of treatment.
