Had the Moderna vaccine injected on Thursday afternoon at Publix store by a pharmacist.
Injection site was sore for 24 hours. Now 48 hours later most pain and soreness has disappeared. No fever, no fainting spells, no racing heart, no other symptoms. Actually did my daily treadmill yesterday but avoided lifting weights. Today I intend to do both at the gym. I am 80 years old, in very good physical condition with no comorbidities.
My spouse also had the Moderna vaccine with me, and she also has very little soreness remaining at the injection site. She has stage-4 cancer and her cancer doctor highly recommended getting the vaccine.
Next shot is scheduled 4 weeks later.
Me too,no problems at all......had it on Monday.
.
Now give me 50 push-ups.
But you’re supposed to drop dead or grow a third arm. What’s wrong with you???
But in all seriousness, I’m glad that it went well.
Great news - and prayers up for your wife! Thanks for the report.
Welcome to the circle of the immune by vaccination!
I will do follow ups every Thursday and also after receiving the 2nd shot 4 weeks later. If you do not see my posts, assume the worst has happened.
Thank you kindly for the prayers.
Sorry to hear that about your wife. Prayers up. Y’all deserve all the cheesecake and chocolate eclairs you desire. Glad as well that you had no issues with the vaccine.
J&J Vaccine may be next to get approved. That’s a one and done vaccine. They are using one in India that supposedly is safe for children, and a small company just got the US licensing rights and is applying for EUA as well but it will probably be 5th or 6th to get to market here, if at all.
Wife and I are anxiously awaiting our chance to get the vaccine.
Lets not get ahead of ourselves, LOL. Moderna vaccine requires 2 shots 4 weeks apart. May be immunity can be claimed after the 2nd shot.
One shot does sound better than 2. Best luck getting on the list soon.
Hubs got second Moderna shot yesterday (he’s 911/dispatch so higher up the priority list than I as an Amazon FC associate, my turn is in the next week or so I think) Arm soreness for a few days with the first shot, second shot same arm soreness and headache/body aches but otherwise doing ok.
Great news. Just so you know - the second shot is the one where people have the most symptoms, and feel pretty bad for a day or two. Hopefully you both will sail right through it with no discomfort.
Good news.
... But, please don’t try to pressure those who want any part of sars2-cov19 vaccination or to take one with you
Thank you and best wishes =o)
My wife and I got our first Pfizer shot two weeks ago; scheduled for the 2nd next Friday. For those who want the shot, you have actively go after it. Check local hospitals, your county health department etc.
Wishing for his headaches/body aches going away quick. From what little I know, it can mean his body is responding to the vaccine by building immunity material.
No problem at all from the 1st dose. Had second on Thursday and a couple of rough days followed; nausea the first day, joint/muscle soreness & fatigue yesterday. Everything back to normal today.
I hope it goes well for all Freepers getting the “vaccine”, but the bigger concern is when, after having both shots, recipients next encounter the same or a similar virus that your body cranks up to respond to: that is apparently when such mRNA vaccines tested on animals in trials before Covid succumbed to their body’s overreaction.
