New Study Makes Discovery About Controversial Drug Hydroxychloroquine
Western Journal ^ | January 28, 2021 | Erin Coates

A new study out of New Jersey shows that the controversial antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine could help people with mild symptoms of COVID-19.

Hackensack Meridian Health published a new study that found outpatients who received the anti-inflammatory drug last year were much less likely to be hospitalized, NorthJersey.com reported.

Andrew Yip, the director of the Division of Outcomes and Value Research at the John Theurer Cancer Center, cautioned people against jumping to conclusions about the drug, as it needs to be studied further before it is approved for use.

“If you’re going to say it’s a cure, that’s definitely crazy,” Ip said.

He did point out that the study found “less hospitalizations and not much toxicity” in patients who receive hydroxychloroquine, but “you still need to validate these findings” in a clinical trial.

Hydroxychloroquine became a political controversy last year when former President Donald Trump touted it as a cure for COVID-19.

“The nice part is, it’s been around for a long time, so we know that if it — if things don’t go as planned, it’s not going to kill anybody,” Trump said, according to ABC News...

Well, it cured my relative and her husband even though they were on day 10 of symptoms and very ill. Within 2 days they were vastly improved. The husband is a 2 time cancer survivor.

Let's get real folks. This article is full of crap. Saying the drug is "controversial" means one thing only.

It means Donald Trump mentioned it in public.

The drug has been tested and approved for use for over seven decades. It is cheap and can be obtained, in most cases, over the counter.

I mentioned it to a friend of mine who is from Guyana and he just laughed at me. He said it was widely used there to combat malaria and could be purchased for almost nothing at the local pharmacy without a prescription.

It may or may not be a "cure" for the covid but the only controversy is why those critics on the Left let people die because their doctors were not allowed to prescribe it. Some physicians even lost their jobs over the issue.

Their hatred for Trump exceeded their good judgment in trying to save the patients.

I used a lot of HCQ in March and April. It’s not what its most passionate advocates claim.

BUT

The campaign against it, which goes on to this day, was one of the most disgraceful episodes in the history of science. The central problem in treating COVID is how to tell when the viral phase is over and when (and why) the inflammatory phase starts.

HCQ, ivermectin, and apparently colchicine can alter the chances of progression. When they work best, and who doesn’t need them, remain open questions.

This is what I used when I got sick in August:

Vitamin B6 100 mg/day
Vitamin B12 1000 mcg/day
Vitamin D3 3,000-4000 IU/day
Vitamin C 1,000 mg 2X a day
Quercetin 500 mg/day 2X a day,I got it & started on day 3
Zinc 50 mg/day

By day 3 my fever was 102.4 on tylenol, O2 down to 90, as soon as I added the Quercetin it helped with the rest of the above. I had been taking 2000 iu daily vit D for 12 years prior. I think that was essential also. If I hadn’t I would have needed a much high dose vit D which would risk kidney stones at the very least. I was at home and fever dropped a degree by every day and by 7th I was fine but weak and tired.

Maybe so, but the 1st amendment freedom is probably worth going to prison over.

Thanks for the detailed info on obtaining ivermectin.

How much of the apple-flavored paste were you taking?

Will Big Pharma fight that because there is no money in it?

Does the sun rise in the east?

It's always been and always will be a bout the bottom line of the dollar. The welfare of people is secondary and only a smoke screen for them to justify their ill gotten gain.

Nice list but that much Melatonin would kill me. 200 mg before bed guarantees a good night’s sleep, tried 300 mg once and slept for 18 hours. Scary.

Perhaps there should be size and weight guidelines for these things. I’m 5’2” and weigh 118 lbs.

I might add quinine drops to the list. Hydroxychloroquine is a derivative of quinine. I asked my doctor whether I should take the drops. He did a bit of research and said yes, it would be good for me. I have taken the other things on your list daily for 40 years, plus iodine in the form of kelp—also an immune enhancer.

The syringe of the paste is marked.

Each mark is 50lb. I’ve done the math at .2mg/kg and it’s the same dose you’d give to equine of the same weight, say a mini pony.

This guy explains it. https://youtu.be/eKWmsiJILe4

I’m going to provide links to two video. I took each at face value to learn more about HCQ and vaccines. They are long videos, but well worth the time in my opinion.

The first is by Dr. Gold. She is a controversial figure, like President Trump and anyone who has a MAGA hat or reads and posts at websites such as Freerepublic. The controversy is the problem, not Dr. Gold.

Note that the AMA has rescinded their ban on HCQ. I take that as a tacit admission that Dr. Gold was right on HCQ and the AMA was wrong. Doctor Gold is a hero.

I probably found the video at Freerepublic. You may have seen it already. This video discusses HCQ and vaccines:

https://www.americasfrontlinedoctors.com/the-stand-the-truth-about-the-covid-19-vaccine.html#fl-main-content

I obtained the second video as an investor. I assume it is new to FreeRepublic. In this video, a vaccine developer discusses vaccine development. The video is embedded after the first paragraph at the link provided below. It’s a long link and I hope it works. Here it is:

https://corporate.americancentury.com/content/corporate/en/insights/articles/news-insights/covid-19-vaccines-behind-science-replay.html?utm_campaign=brand_simr-covid-19-webcast_webcast-replay_gi_202101&utm_source=sfmc&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0031I00000Sod7jQAB&utm_content=cta-watch-replay&partnerref=sfmc

Doctor Gold discusses the efficacy and safety of HCQ. I’m fully convinced. As an aside, virtually no one dies from the Wuhan virus in Taiwan, where they use HCQ.

Doctor Gold is concerned about a possible auto-immune response to the novel RNA based vaccines. She points out that this was tried in the past but led to deaths when ferrets used for the experiment were exposed to the actual virus.

Doctor Alvarado discusses warp speed development of vaccines. At about 18 minutes into the video he provides the following information:

RNA vaccines:
Moderna
Biontech (Pfizer)

Adenovirus vaccines:
AstraZeneca
Johnson & Johnson

Spike Protein vaccines:
Novavax

There is a challenge trial in UK with the AstraZeneca (Adenovirus) vaccine. A challenge trial exposes vaccinated individuals to the actual virus. (Chessexpert [me]): If there is an auto-immune or any other problem, it should become apparent.)

He is most excited about the first two products, the RNA-based solutions. He admits that they are novel, but he thinks they have great promise now and in the future.

Frankly, Dr. Alvarado is a greater expert on vaccines than Dr. Gold. This is how he makes his living. With expertise comes a conflict of interest, as is often the case.

We are talking about perceived risk, something that will likely change over time. At the moment, I would prefer the more traditional vaccines over the RNA vaccines. Assuming the challenge trial AstraZeneca has a favorable outcome, that would probably be my vaccine choice.

If it remains strictly up to me, I would prefer to defer vaccination as I have HCQ on hand.

I ordered HCQ at:
