Within 24 hours of the Capitol riots, we saw reports from respected investigative journalists like CBS News’ Catherine Herridge that pointed to the breaching of the Capitol being a preplanned attack.
For example, Herridge reported on January 7th that the first pipe bomb was said to have been found at the RNC around 12:45 as Trump was still giving his speech:

Two days later, a more concrete timeline was forming:

As I speculated last week, from that information alone, we could glean that the storming of the Capitol was likely preplanned. In other words, it doesn’t seem likely that random rallygoers were just standing around listening to Trump’s speech and then got “incited” enough to leave and then make and plant pipe bombs to distract law enforcement.
Day by day as we learned more information about what happened, and what the FBI reportedly knew about the possibility of violence in the days leading up to the riots, the incitement charge leveled at President Trump by impeachment-minded Democrats slowly unraveled.
The preplanned element that was becoming more obvious by the minute was the elephant in the room that the Democrats and Republicans in the House who eventually voted to impeach Trump ignored.
But yesterday, on the day before Trump would hand over the keys to the Oval Office to Joe Biden, the Washington Post published a detailed report, acknowledging that what happened on January 6th “was not an entirely impulsive outburst of violence.” The piece ran with the headline “Self-styled militia members planned on storming the U.S. Capitol days in advance of Jan. 6 attack, court documents say”:
The arrests this weekend of several people with alleged ties to far-right extremist groups, including the Oath Keepers, the Proud Boys and the Three Percenters, suggest that the riot was not an entirely impulsive outburst of violence but an event instigated or exploited by organized groups. Hours of video posted on social media and pored over by investigators have focused on individuals in military-style gear moving together.
“This is the first step toward identifying and understanding that there was some type of concerted conspiracy here,” said one senior official with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, which is leading the investigation.
In other words, it was preplanned.
Even CNN reported last week on the likelihood that the attack on the Capitol was preplanned.
This would appear to change the ballgame at the Senate’s impeachment trial. Remember this from the impeachment article:
Shortly before the Joint Session commenced, President Trump, addressed a crowd at the Ellipse in Washington, D.C. There, he reiterated false claims that “we won this election, and we won it by a landslide.” He also willfully made statements that, in context, encouraged — and foreseeably resulted in — lawless action at the Capitol, such as: “if you don’t fight like hell you’re not going to have a country anymore.” Thus incited by President Trump, members of the crowd he had addressed, in an attempt to, among other objectives, interfere with the Joint Session’s solemn constitutional duty to certify the results of the 2020 Presidential election, unlawfully breached and vandalized the Capitol, injured and killed law enforcement personnel, menaced Members of Congress, the Vice President, and Congressional personnel, and engaged in other violent, deadly, destructive and seditious acts.
I’m not a lawyer and I’m not a Senator. But I can hear, read, and see. And it looks to me like the case for convicting Trump of incitement based on the speech he gave to rally-goers that day just got a whole helluva lot weaker thanks to the emerging information about the pre-planned nature of the riots. If Republican Senators truly do plan on voting based on what they hear as it relates to the evidence, it’s hard to see where they could in good conscience vote to convict.
Garbage. Nothing before today matters. Advance our troops. Sucking up to what happened yesterday gets you nowhere. Fight forward.
I think the smarter people on the left realize what a mistake it would be for Trump and his team to have the floor to produce the receipts.

I hope they do it. I want the republicrats to have to vote so its recorded, but most of all I want the American people to see the evidence.
“In good conscience”? Anyone who voted to impeach President Trump for “inciting a riot“ without any evidence produced or any hearings held or any defense allowed does not have a conscience, much less a good conscience.

He has been impeached. The Senate trial which comes after impeachment is to remove him from office. But he’s gone.
And also, the Speaker Pelosi HAS NOT YET SUBMITTED the article of impeachment to the Senate.
I think the first one I heard objecting on the grounds that this attack was pre-planned was Rep. Scott Perry, and that was at the time that they were jamming this thing through.

The story should be that Antifa infiltrators, and BLM infiltrators, were the ones that initiated the rioting/attack.
BUT, those Antifa/BLM attackers don’t do things on their own, and they likely were sent there by democrat leaders. They were not about to let Trump hold a rally asserting that the election was stolen; not without setting him up for condemnation and impeachment.

It’s the same tactic the left has used for ages and will continue to use until a majority of people wise up to the fact that the legacy media is lying to them in order to manipulate them. I’m not holding my breath waiting for that to happen.
If they were smarter, they wouldn’t have issued reports that the riots were preplanned but waited until after the senate impeachment trial.

Receipts would be the evidence of the fraud.
They can deny it all they want, but there is real “non-Q” fantasy stuff that clearly shows the vote counts in the challenged states are highly suspect and outright fraudulent.
Trump and his team would have a great platform to put this information out there.
The rabid left wants to impeach him as does democrat leadership, but you are seeing many of the more intelligent folks on the left hesitate.
