Never used Twitter, looks like I will join Gab.
As long as there are alternatives, that is not necessary.....................
it’s a Wordpress garbage site. I had hopes that it would make it but as all the wannabes they quickly go overboard
I’ve been on Gab for three years. The developer is 1. Hard core Christian 2. Hard core free-speech advocate. Threats of violence are deleted and forwarded to law enforcement. Pornography is expressly forbidden and child abuse reported. Communities from gun fanatics to gardening are easy to find. They have their own video streaming service, end-to-end encrypted messaging and decking where you can organize streams according to your interests. It will calm down in a few days as they add servers. I’m actually on Gab and I recommend it.

I thought I read today that Parler was going to move to the same servers that GAB has. It that true or still true?

Reddit says it’s taking action on reported violations of its content policies, which prohibit the incitement of violence.

Excellent question, it's what prevented me from joining parlor. If they want a secondary way to provide security, they should also allow a email address for that purpose. Typically, you are offered a choice of either.
Parler backed themself into a corner by leveraging Amazon’s cloud. My understanding is they wrote their back end database using Amazon’s Redshift cloud database product. Moving their site isn’t just relocating the content, which would be much easier if they used industry standard database products. Since they are using Amazon’s proprietary database, it requires a lot of rewriting, which complicates things.
Here’s my take on this.
THIS MEANS NOTHING, UNLESS OUR PRESIDENT DOUBLES DOWN ON THESE BASTARDS, AND REFUSES TO LEAVE THE WHITE HOUSE UNLESS THERE IS A COMPLETE AUDIT, SCOTUS REVIEW OR REELECTION IN THE CONTESTED STATES.
