Well the law doesn't apply to the cops. There are several sections in the video where cops are wearing masks and one has his pulled down below his nose 'cause it's hard to breath, ya know.

A New Year's Eve party in Gatineau, Quebec with six people present turned into a confrontation with local police who were called to the scene.
The caption translates as: "the police have just assaulted a six-person 'illegal gathering' in a house in Gatineau after responding to a complaint made by neighbours. The habitants of the house resisted."
The video, which has since gone viral on social media, lasts almost exactly two minutes, and shows a man separated from his family by officers and wrestled to the ground, ostensibly for breaking lockdown regulations and then resisting arrest. He ends up face down in the snow and handcuffed.....However, according to Simard, the people present at the location manifested that they would not stop the party, and that's when things got aggressive. They have now been issued fines of $1546 each....

Quebec is the most reliably leftist jurisdiction in North America. It almost makes New York look like Alabama in comparison. Nobody up there is going to wage a civil war over something as silly as this.

Perhaps, but the whole attitude and acceptance of “spying on the neighbours” ends up creating clans of us vs them. Ultimately it ends up in one side not going to take it anymore and that is when the violence starts. Once the violence starts, the easy path is to go full on beast mode and start a shooting war.
That is why Antifa and their violent attacks are so dangerous. That is why constantly pushing the citizenry will ultimately break apart this nation. Up in Canada, it may take longer because Canadians tend to be nicer and just put up with more crap, but hear me. This creates the start of the downward spiral.
The police serve the government, not the people.
Seens a perfect time to show the police that they were not invited to attend the party and that their disruptive behavior comes with a a price.
