Long-term friendships are always hard to let go of no matter the reason and trying to use reason to understand why it happens or to analyze the situation doesn’t help either because you’re really dealing with feelings.... sadness and regret and those feelings can’t be ameliorated by logical arguments or rational analysis.
This situation reminds me of the codependent relationship of someone who has a very good friend with a serious alcohol problem who won’t admit that he has a problem. No matter what you do what you say what you try to do how you try to help him understand his situation nothing works..... and you keep coming back to the thought that you just haven’t said it right ....that you just haven’t done enough ....that if only you would try a little harder.
I have someone I worked with who I really enjoyed working with and who is a wonderful human being and intelligent but just happens to be liberal ...what can I say... I value the time we work together and I respect him as a kind human being who has a blind spot.

What you see is real proof of voter fraud by the Democrat Party leadership, where they are attempting to steal an election through a) massive voter fraud at a scale never seen before, b) media collusion and c) disenfranchisement of millions of legal voters.
But guess what! Your Liberal friend sees the attempts by Giuliani et al to be real proof of the Republican Party leadership to steal an election they lost either by a) the courts, b) the State legislatures or c) war with Lin Wood calling for people to study color revolutions and President Lincoln’s 1861 use of power.
You convincing him of your argument would have the same chances of success of him convincing you of his!
Don’t bother. It would just destroy whatever is left of that friendship. You have zero chance of being able to convince him, because for him it is our party that is trying to pull a fast one.
Let me tell you something else. It is sad what is happening to America. No matter what happens on the 14th of December (when the EC convenes to vote) and on the 20th of January - whether it is President Trump or President Biden that goes to sleep in the White House the night of the 20th of January - America’s enemies have won. Even if we win and President Trump remains, America’s enemies have won. The level of internal schism across the land is probably worse than it was during the civil war, and that is a damn shame no matter what anyone says about it. A damn shame.

I have much sympathy for this loss of your friend. Bear in mind, however, that you have many friends here at FreeRepublic. We have enjoyed your posts over the years and think highly of your opinions. Every non-Trump-supporter that I’ve dropped as a friend has been replaced with a new and better friendship.

Most convincing case of vote cheating in my opinion: the wagon full of ballots in Detroit at 4am.
A person who rejects the obvious fact of vote cheating in the recent November election is stuck and probably dealing with an abortion or addiction.
Wait a few more days. It’s too soon to expect a cordial response from a Dem true believer scared to death their candidate is not only crooked as a dog’s hind leg, but also guilty of massive election fraud. Even for those of goodwill, till this is sorted out most overtures will be viewed with suspicion.
Don’t waste your time. Good people don’t vote for pedos, racists and totalitarians. Good people don’t vote for candidates who are owned by our enemies. Good people don’t vote for someone who uses his pedo, crack-smoking, grifting son as his bagman. Good people don’t vote for a political party that thinks White folks are evil, oppressive, “privileged” and racist. After these realizations I cut off three friends who voted for Biden and hated Trump. I cannot be friends with such people nor will I ever again have a friendship with a leftwinger, because what they believe in is unquestionably satanic. Glad you walked away from this guy.

You and I have discussed how St. Louis and Kansas City delay turning in their vote counts until all the other counts are in so they know how many votes they need to manufacture.
On election night, cities in six swing states simultaneously stopped counting with Trump far ahead in each of them, then came back a few hours later with Biden winning.
Does that seem reasonable to you? Only happening in the states Biden needed and was losing badly? All of them shutting down at the same time with Trump winning and all of them coming back with Biden miraculously in the lead?
There will never be another honest election if this one is stolen.
