The Pennsylvania Supreme Court on Saturday evening reversed a lower court’s block on certifying the state’s elections issued Friday night, dismissing with prejudice a lawsuit brought by Republican candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives that sought to have the results nullified over constitutional concerns about a 2019 change in absentee ballot rules. The lead plaintiffs in the case are Rep. Mike Kelly and Sean Parnell.

*DO NOT* listen to the nattering naysayers on this thread. They have been trying to shoot down Trump’s chances since this first began, and will continue to no matter what.
This ruling was predicted, and is actually GOOD news that it opens up the route to the US Supreme Court so quickly.
Keep in mind in Bush v. Gore, the US Supreme court STOPPED an ORDER that had been given by the Florida Supreme Court. They have rights to intervene wherever they want, once petitioned, and this ruling will ensure they are now petitioned.
The makeup of the current court is a majority of Constitutional originalists. Chances are they will not look fondly on Pennsylvania violating their Constitution in a way that resulted in an unfair advantage for mail in votes vs. in person votes.
This equal protection angle will be the basis of many cases the USSC will accept with regard to the election. It is important that these improper mail in ballots be invalidated, not only for this election, but all future elections, and the USSC is well aware of the importance.
Thank you for the post!
Correct, which is why the disastrous, anticonstitutional Bush v. Gore precedent will never be repeated.
That is no surprise as the PA Supreme Court has a 5 Dem majority and all decisions relating to this election are decided based on politics, not the law. The only way of getting around them is to end run it to the Federal courts after they make their political decision. It is completely fruitless to pursue this legally thru the PA state courts. That is why it has to be run thru the Republican state legislature as Trump is now doing or the the Fed courts
Let us wait and see who is right. This will all be over soon enough. Dec 14 is the deadline for electors to vote.
Several current USSC Justices were involved in that exact case, so I strongly doubt they feel the same way as you about it.
Not surprising.
You would be so wrong you should never be allowed to post again wrong the equal protection clause was used in 2000 by SCOTUS to overturn a decision made in the state Supreme Court in Florida with how their votes where counted so please stay in your never trumper lane Junior
They aren’t homophones either - ˈmüt vs.ˈmyüt, like boot vs. beaut.
Correct, which is why the disastrous, anticonstitutional Bush v. Gore precedent will never be repeated.
You do realize that the argument/case is an equal protection constitutional one? This falls squarely in the Supreme Court universe.
I know you think you’re smarter than Dershowitz, but he clearly stated, “They have two or three legal, constitutional paths to the Supreme Court.”
However, that being said, winning likely depends on the congress of Penn. If they do nothing and elector’s vote, it would be a mountain too high for the Trump team to climb. People need to pressure them.
never expected them to rule against themselves.
You and I are just a little out of date that's all. I looked it up in the US Constitution. It reads:
AMENDMENT XXVIII - Originally proposed Jan. 29, 2009. Ratified Feb. 1, 2009. Constitutionality is anything deemed necessary by Courts of Law.
We should all send them a warm “Thank you”.
The Demonicrats in Pennsylvania Supreme Court reached into their collective keister and pulled out the claim that the lawsuit was not filed in a “timely manner.”
So, this unconstitutional act is enshrined forever?
The PA legislature violated the PA constitution by not amending its constitution in order to alter constitutinal provisions for voting by mail. The PA supreme court lets the unconstitutional act stand (saying that the unconstitutionality has effectively timed out). Unconstitutional acts have the color of law but were never law.
PA does NOT have a republican form for government.
Go for it. LOL
A good hanging would solve that appointed for life problem, if that’s how they are appointed.
😂
“With prejudice” means the leftard judge was sneering.
