Thank Dems for the Barrett Nomination
Among the reasons President Trump has reportedly decided to appoint Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court is that the Democrats already attempted to “Bork” her, but failed, and disgraced themselves in the process while elevating her public profile.
Think I exaggerate? Check out this Tweet from Center for American Progress far-leftist Ian Millhiser:

You can expect a lot of news reports over the next few days to re-run Sen. Dianne Feinstein attacking Barrett’s Catholic faith in Barrett’s confirmation hearings to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals three years ago. It will not be a good look for Democrats if they reprise this attack, but I’m betting they won’t be able to help themselves. I hope Barrett quotes John F. Kennedy back to them.
There is apparently a lot of rumbling among liberals along Millhiser’s lines. Politico reported Thursday:
Democrats worry Feinstein cant handle Supreme Court battle
As the Senate prepares for yet another brutal Supreme Court nomination fight, one particularly sensitive issue is creating apprehension among Democrats: what to do with 87-year-old Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the ranking member of the Judiciary Committee.
Feinstein, the oldest member of the Senate, is widely respected by senators in both parties, but she has noticeably slowed in recent years. Interviews with more than a dozen Democratic senators and aides show widespread concern over whether the California Democrat is capable of leading the aggressive effort Democrats need against whoever President Donald Trump picks to replace the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Feinstein sometimes gets confused by reporters questions, or will offer different answers to the same question depending on where or when shes asked. Her appearance is frail. And Feinstein’s genteel demeanor, which seems like it belongs to a bygone Senate era, can lead to trouble with an increasingly hard-line Democratic base uninterested in collegiality or bipartisan platitudes.
Just this week, Feinstein infuriated progressives after declaring her opposition to ending the Senates legislative filibuster a top goal of party activists if Democrats win full control of the Congress and White House in November. Some on the left called on her to resign over the comments, although other Democratic moderates have expressed similar views. . .
A Democratic senator, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said a group of Feinsteins colleagues want Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) or Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) to serve as the top Democrat on the Judiciary panel for the upcoming nomination hearings, which are expected to be extraordinarily contentious. This senator is worried that potential missteps by Feinstein could cost Democrats seats.
Shes not sure what shes doing, the Democratic senator said of Feinstein. If you take a look at Kavanaugh, we may be short two senators because of that. And if this gets [messed] up, it may be the same result.
Order up some extra popcorn.
P.S. Remember that Kamala Harris is on the Judiciary Committee. Chances she’ll grandstand bigly in the Barrett hearings: 100%.
UPDATE: Here’s Judge Barrett arriving back home at South Bend this evening. She’s trolling the libs hard herethat’s a Whole Foods bag she has in her hand! Millions of grumpy woke Whole Foodies will be even grumpier now.

Not looking forward to the next 13 years. I recall being stuck in the *NO* phase, myself....in fact, I may still be there. I’ll be a holy terror if I make it to 90.

The minute the Dems. mention her two adopted kids, the Republicans need to scream “Racism!”. Nobody questioned the legitimacy of the Roberts adoptions, so questioning Barrett’s has to be because of the kids race.

My bride sent me to a Whole Foods for some unusual veggie (she wrote it down for me). I happened to be wearing a MAGA T-shirt and my Trump 2020 hat. When I asked the man-bunned CSR where to find the veggie, I thought he was going to choke. His eyes got big and it sounded like he stopped breathing. He finally got ‘back wall cooler’ out of his mouth. I thanked him and quickly scuttled off in case he passed out.
Too funny ...

I hope it is clear to everyone, what the plan with Kavanaugh was.
FineSwine brought out these scurrilous charges only at the end, and privately to committee leadership. Graham was supposed to go “old school” and try to sweep the crap under the rug while the confirmation went forward to a Senate vote. Then the idiocy of the made-up “charges” wouldn’t have mattered. The vote would have been sunk and the Press would have gone full-Onan on the “coverup”.
There was good decision making by the Republicans that this did not happen.
The specatacle that resulted makes possible what you propose, to refer to Kavanaugh and say, “Not this time!”. But, probably only once, and the Press won’t go along with you, anyway.
I thought FineSwine might have to pay for what she had done, but I guess not.

Democrats disgrace themselves again? It’s not not possible to disgrace one’s self when one has no grace to begin with.

yes yes
committee hearings are NOT required for a nomination
if there is to be a committee hearing, it can be as short as desired
it will be very nice to see a good justice confirmed to fill the vacancy by week’s end

“...move to a vote asap.” Ditto!! Let’s not let these commie SOBs ridicule and abuse our nominee as they did Judge Kavanaugh. To hell with that and to hell with them. I care nothing about protocol, tradition, nor feelings at this point. Only the Constitution and the law. Just put nominee to Floor vote and be done with it.

My concern is it was liberal ‘journalists’ who jumped on the Amy Coney Barrett Nomination first...
We should wait for President Trump to make his announcement.

Yup. The Republicans need to treat the Democrats like obstreperous two year olds. Pat them on the head and give them a time out in the corner of the room.

Besides going all-out in supporting abortion, Biden also came out in support of same-sex “marriage” when Obama was still pretending to be against it, forcing Obama to come out for it when there might have been some political risk in doing so.
