Donald Trump is a once in a generation candidate. It seems that both parties get one. Every decade or so, one of the parties get a candidate who excites the base, wakes up voters, and crosses party lines. There is no next Donald Trump, and everyone knows this.
The last twenty years have taught us political lifers and dull personalities won't be president. Between John McCain, Mitt Romney, and Hillary Clinton, very little charisma existed. Their experiences as Senators paled when facing Obama's and Trump's big personalities.

Hershel Walker did not “basket weave” through high school and college. He wast the valedictorian of his HS.
Pence will be only about 65, and he looks and acts like those “healthy young old people” you see on TV commercials. I have asked my wife why we don’t look like these people.
Post Biden flop, I think that the electorate might be a little sensitive about electing “elder statesmen”.

NEVER POST ANYTHING ON FREE REPUBLIC AGAIN if you are going to be this far off-base and incorrect. Take the foolishness somewhere else.

Great accurate concise way to describe Nikki Haley
Not voicing anyone in particular, but your list makes me think of a important point.
They need to fight back not in the normal political way republicans typically do.
They need to have an outlook and mindset about engaging the left like Trump does.
If you want to consider it asymetrical in the sense its not traditional take the beating republican lineup we normally get.
In short they also need to WANT TO FIGHT and WANT TO WIN.
Blows my mind that people think she is viable.South carolinians have not forgot what she did as governor.
