The College Fix reports that a subcommittee within the Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC), which is itself part of the National Council of Teachers of English, is demanding that American teachers “abolish standard English” (aka, “White Mainstream English”).
We DEMAND that:
teachers stop using academic language and standard English as the accepted communicative norm, which reflects White Mainstream English!
teachers stop teaching Black students to code-switch! Instead, we must teach Black students about anti-Black linguistic racism and white linguistic supremacy!
political discussions and praxis center Black Language as teacher-researcher activism for classrooms and communities!
teachers develop and teach Black Linguistic Consciousness that works to decolonize the mind (and/or) language, unlearn white supremacy, and unravel anti-Black linguistic racism!
Black dispositions are centered in the research and teaching of Black Language!

Consider this the “Balkanization of English.” We have seen this before, it is merely meant to divide people. Remember the tower of Babel?
They (the Left) think Blacks can’t learn to properly use the English language. What is next? Get rid of math?

Yesterday someone posted an article by Malcolm-X on the white liberal being the greatest threat to the Negro. And here’s further proof.
Perhaps teach Standard English in one set of schools, teach the hip hop urban hood dialect in another set of schools, and let parents choose the set of schools that they feel will be the best match for their daughters and sons.

These people don’t need to worry about this issue....in 20 years, the Hispanics will out-number African-Americans and dictate the language business. Spanish will win.

Maybe you can get clerks at the unemployment or welfare office or Barbara Billingsley to be semi-bilingual and talk ebonics.

I will not surprised if some Leftist academic proposes that Black students not be taught to read and write in the name of “Justice.”
So, they’ve butchered the English language and all the rules of grammar, and now they want acceptance of their ghetto speak? Should we get rid of spellcheck also while we’re at it? Because you know, proper spelling must be rooted in racism too, right?
