Heeding the advice of critics, Portland police say they repeatedly tried to deescalate with protesters Friday night. It didn’t work.
As many as 200 demonstrators rampaged near a police station in the Oregon city, pelting a protective line of unoccupied police vehicles with golf balls, softball-sized rocks, metal railroad spikes, paint-filled plastic eggs and balloons filled with feces.
A torn-up street sign was also used to smash cars, with tires slashed and windows broken, police said...

And given they only had short batons, motorcycle helmets and a small can of spray mace, and no body armor or bullet proof vests, they did a helluva job. Ballsy to say the least. And no one died. Governor Kate Brown panicked when she saw the Oregon economy graph rising and so she instituted stricter mask rules. Now Oregon’s Wuhan-19 graph is going down and she is again panicking and threatening more lock down.
When do the police just walk away? If the Dem leadership wants to turn Portland and Seattle into no go zones like Mogadishu, just let it all burn. Alternatively, real authorities need to start busting heads and jailing without bail these terrorists along with the Mayor, the DA and the Governors who are leading an insurrection.

No, the guy who ties the balloons has the worst job. What if the loader didn’t do it cleanly? To tie it well enough to pop on impact, I was assume the balloon needs to be inflated some.
Overinflating might be problematic as would inhaling to get a good breath.
I can’t imagine police continuing in that work environment.
Eventually they will be severely understaffed. Crime will skyrocket even more. Gangs and vigilantism will start a civil war within. A wall may have to be erected around Portland.
Trucking companies will not be able to get insurance servicing the routes into those areas. Power companies will not fix problems either, or water, or gas, or any other service as well. The Dystopian Socialist paradise...

I have no idea what happened in my previous comment. The sentence was supposed to read “serious diseases” but somehow ended up “easy diseases.” Those “easy diseases” are the ones Kamala passes on to other people.
