Need tires? Dont even think about buying Goodyear. Im currently searching for new tires for our car, and was looking seriously at a 50,000-mile set from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. After all, its a great American company or at least it used to be and Im all about buying American since Chinas government intentionally spread a deadly virus all over the world.
But that consideration of ever buying from Goodyear ended this morning when news broke about a new attire policy the company has adopted for its employees. Check out this graphic:
So, its perfectly fine for Goodyear employees to wear clothing endorsing BLM, an openly-Marxist domestic terrorist group funded by front groups for George Soros and the Democrat Party. But it is not ok for those same employees to wear attire endorsing law enforcement or their desire to make America great again. You seriously cannot make this stuff up, folks.
In response to this bit of news, President Trump himself issued the following tweet:
Conservatives have always been reluctant to play the same kinds of boycott/cancel culture games that the left has made a daily part of our lives. But this really and truly does need to change.
There is a increasingly hostile and intense war for the soul of this nation taking place right now, today. Sadly, only one side is really fighting it, and it isnt us.
That must change.
Boycott Goodyear Tire and Rubber, folks. Boycott this deplorable company and its management like your way of life depends on it.
Because you know what? It does.
That is all.
Nice. I was going to get a new set this month. Got 65K miles off my originals. Now I can definitely eliminate Goodyear from any replacement option.
We need to start giving them lip RIGHT BACK.
Honestly, any time were sanctimoniously alienated like this, we should write to them and complain. ALL of us. Yes, one wont do anything but maybe if we all did.
Cooper. The only other American-made tire.
Michelin for the HD and Toyo for my car. Pirelli on the Mrs Jeep.
I’m sure my brand is banned too but I’ve been more than happy with several varieties of High end Michelin tires (both sport and regular passenger), quiet, sticky, and good longevity.

I’m doing a Bye-Cott.
Bye, Goodyear!
Our family has used Goodyear tires for at least 30 years.
I’ve been running “Triple-Treads” (now discontinued) on all three of our cars. I had a set on my Honda Element (sold a year ago... still miss it) that lasted 100,000 miles.
When it’s time to replace tires, I’ll look at Cooper and Michelin.
I am finished with Goodyear.
GoodYear will go the way of Gillette. Huge losses in their next fiscal year, but they will blame it on something else.
People who hold traditional American values need to stop doing business with companies that hate us. Starbucks, Nike, Old Navy, now Goodyear. They need to feel the pain folks.

Yesterday, Goodyear became the focus of a conversation that created some misconceptions about our policies and our company. Goodyear has always wholeheartedly supported both equality and law enforcement and will continue to do so. pic.twitter.com/oO6jUg2rTR— Goodyear (@goodyear) August 19, 2020
More and more, big businesses are showing their contempt for this country even though they have benefited greatly. Same with the entitled, pampered pro athletes.
Who are the Goodyear Owners/Directors? I would like to know who the CEO is that endorses this policy. Anybody know?
I was going to buy some Goodyear Duratracs for my truck. Looks like I will be buying BF Goodrich AT KO2.
Based on research, I didn’t buy Good-for-a-year tires, but instead bought Goodrich M/S tires for my Jeep last year. It figures that once I was prepared for bad weather we would have a snow/rain drought.
Not just tires. We have a Goodyear Service Center near where we live that we have been using exclusively for many years. No more. So long in-fact all the people who work there know me and the wife on sight.
I called them and told them that due to their companies stated policy we will no longer be a customer for any of our three vehicles.
I can tell you with certainty that my car was built in Stuttgart. The reason I know this is, when I went to purchase the new vehicle in 2014, the only C-Class cars they had on the lot were C-300s, which are 6-cylinde3r all wheel drives, and C-250s which have 4-cylinder turbo engines.
Since I wanted a 6-cylinder rear-wheel drive vehicle, I had to special order a C-350, and I had to wait 2 months to get it. And the invoice clearly stated the car was built in Stuttgart Germany.
I’m running Generals on my Honda CR-V. They are good tires for a really good price. I got sick of Michelins wearing out early.
On my gray market Mercedes sports sedan I ran high performance Pirelli’s on the front and Yokahamas on the back. They give you a little tougher ride but they take care of you in a bad situation.
Why should any police car be wearing them?
Actually, the ones on my truck are hecho en Mexico.
