Dan Bongino — “Not a joke and not hyperbole – I’m hearing from people close to the situation that Biden’s cognitive decline is rapidly worsening and is becoming increasingly difficult to mask. The Democrats are going to have to make a decision soon.”

There’s nothing to protect Biden when the debates begin, even without an audience.

We’ve all seen how hard Biden’s campaign is working to hide his mental degradation. This is a guy who can’t give a short press conference without a list of hand chosen reporters to call on and detailed notes on how to answer basic questions. Absolutely nothing he does anymore is off the cuff, which is why press conferences only happen ever three to four months. His speeches are short and his most scripted moments are painful to watch.

I think they’re regretting the promise to choose a “woman of color” as Biden’s running mate, now that they’re basically auditioning for the top of their ticket. They have been throwing every black female Democrat politician against the wall to see if one sticks, but none of them cut it as a credible Presidential candidate.

Yeah, but we heard this about Hillary...and she not only showed up she held up well enough to fool moderates.

And Hillary also had the media proclaim that she won those debates decisively.

If there are debates, the media will similarly proclaim that Joe showed his mastery of the issues and bested Trump, no matter what happens in the debates.

I disagree that anyone is reluctant to play the Geraldine Ferraro role, only because they know that 90% of the media will back Biden, and they would never be closer to becoming President since Biden couldn’t last 4yrs even if he did win.

News is leaking out about Biden’s decline. The media can’t cover for him anymore. My belief if that the dem power brokers will replace him. The joke will be on the dimrat primary voters. They had no say so in the candidate. Trump should point that out to them.

How bad would it need to be for him to drop out? He’s worse than he was 6 months ago. I think the Dems will keep a complete potato on the ticket.

loved ones with dementia know...it can go on for a while..and then the wheels can come off pretty fast.

My FIL just passed at 92. Now, while every dementia case is different, I could clearly imagine him having a finger-munching episode with his daughter, my wife, a year before he died. This Joe/Jill pic is now 8 months old.

My wife’s uncle had dementia and like you say, the wheels came off pretty quick. He was happy go lucky for about a year. Had no clue about what was going on around him or what happened 10 minutes ago. His condition went down hill in a matter of weeks.

Indeed, these people that he is hearing this inside information are United States Secret Service agents.

I wonder if this is why the VP announcement was pushed back. Maybe the VP search committee is really looking for a P.

Couldn’t care less how the Delusional Lying Leftist Media scores it.

Those debates with Trump are worth the price of admission. Best entertainment in the second half of 2020.

So you all think the Democrats’ plan is to:

1. Nominate Biden at the convention (whether virtually or in person).

2. Avoid all debates with Trump (and presumably no VP debates?) on the reasoning that “Trump continuously lies, therefore it’s not a fair debate” (see Joe Lockhart NYT op-ed today)

3. Trick the American people into voting for a guy who is suffering severe dementia and win the election.

4. Then what...? Just avoid press conferences for his entire presidency? If he’s as bad as people are saying, even scripted speeches will no longer work.

The problem with this whole plan is that it will become clear that the insiders knew this all along and tricked the American people. That isn’t going to go over very well, I don’t care who the VP is.

I think the media is trying to trial balloon the “no debates” approach, but the echo chamber is so tight and so strong in the leftist media, I suspect they cannot get a read on the American public, and they know it.

Finally, there is another problem: Biden himself. This guy has a LOT of pride and ego. There is no way he will dodge the debates, assuming he has the mental faculties to understand the situation. I, personally, don’t think he’s that far gone, so I expect him to want to fight it out.

I”m starting to think there may be a Hail Mary Pass as an October Surprise: a nationally known democrat “consensus candidate.”

I think this (Biden stepping down) is a real possibility now...

Then, by all that is fair and good, Breadline Bernie should be the nominee...

But, this is the DIM party...they don’t practice fair and good...

The Bernie Bros will be quite angry when Bernie also gets pushed aside, like Sleepy Joe...But, Bernie is a year older than Joe...

So, what to do? Who do they call? The Hildabeast? Big Mike? The Oprah? Ghostbusters?

I would predict the DIMS go full Double-X chromosomes...make the battle DIM Women versus Pubbie Men...

Some combination of Warren, Harris, Klobuchar...probably Warren/Harris...

I think they would view Warren as the best bet against Trump in the debates...they might be right....plus, she did finish third in the primary...

I fear they will try to entice Michelle Obama. They will be bigger than the Clintons..and be more successful in the grift.

You are right. There won’t be any debates this cycle. They just can’t let him.
