During a recent session conducted over Zoom, my therapist told me I was glowing. In the middle of a pandemic.
I struggled to explain why until she prodded, No crazy experiences with white people this month?
Not that I can immediately recall, I replied.
Thats when it became clear: Im doing better these days because staying home alone and practicing social distancing has meant Im avoiding many of the racist encounters that used to plague my daily life.

Do you identify with this fella?
When your whole life is tuned to the possibility, regardless how real, that something or somebody is racist, then you are living a nightmare existence.
Perhaps all the made up ‘dog whistle’ bull crap you spend your days looking for and itemizing has caused you to see ghosts when all that’s there is the wind.
I pity the poor lad.
(Now I wonder...is calling a black male a ‘lad’ racist? I know ‘boy’ is. Guess I need a couple more decades of being told what words I’m allowed to use.)
Is that human actually a male? I’m getting SO damned confused by the rules of selective pronouns as well.
PERFECT! That tells me that your little victim proggy attention whore life is not happy, and I’m good in knowing that!
LOL, I baled hay one time and I almost died.
My forearms got pink and swollen, and my lungs started restricting. I had to take 3 Benadryl and sit in the shower for an hour.
I wonder where he thinks his life as a black queer man would be better? And why doesn’t he go there? Surely the cost of living would be lower than it is in New York, and he’d save whatever he’s paying his therapist.
I cannot distance myself..from the absolute DUMB patients. I can't..I have to deal with them.
So..deal with them I must.
No, but I see racial tensions brewing and it is not going to be a nice picture.
Trump nor Biden cannot fix this. They are too old.
The Republican Party is tone-deaf on race.
The Democratic Party is running away with the race thing and the GOP sits there and says nothing.
He is so full of himself that I find it hard to believe there’s room in there for any thoughts of others. If you doubt that is true, then I suggest you visit his website for confirmation. Don’t worry, you won’t have to actually read anything; only look at the many, many, MANY pictures he has posted of himself in all his fabulousness.
I mean REALLY out of the way.
And not because of some frikken law or policy. Just because they were good, decent people.
And this is the thanks they get?
The guy hangs out with NYT writers.
I’ll bet he’s telling the truth.
I see racial tension brewing too.
Good, decent people who have done their very best to help minorities getting insulted like this.
Minorities will be shocked when these good folks just get fed up...and BTW they are getting close to it.
Is that a CGI?
It looks too plastic to be a portrait of anyone.
If a real pic, ole’ Ernst looks like a homo.
Lemme guess. “Nation of Islam”? Bowtie?
He will have to stay away from Biden then
Odd how 'people of color' who are Japanese don't have women clutch their purses when THEY walk by... same with 'people of color' who are Chinese. It's not racism when the fear is legitimate.
I suggest this man - Ernst Owens - check crime statistics (as a percentage of population) to see if the high percentage of criminals within the black community IS the problem - and NOT racism. Ernst Owens wants us to believe a woman is afraid because of the color of skin rather than what that color represents. Is he really that stupid? It's NOT 1960 - and this isn't the Jim Crow South. And Mr. Owens is placing the blame for his 'feelings' in the wrong place.
Lol, blacks will burn down their own neighborhoods, then wonder why they don’t have any grocery stores. Hey, when do I get to be angry about black democrats destroying our once-beautiful cities?
