This has got to be one of the most dumbfounding [we're tempted to drop the "founding"] statements made by a member of the liberal media regarding the coronavirus.
On his MSNBC show this morning, Ali Velshi suggested that by deeming houses of worship "essential," thus qualifying them to reopen, President Trump could be in violation of the "separation of church and state."

Leftists defending government crackdown on religion and claiming that defending the first amendment is unconstitutional.
So why aren’t state decrees closing churches violations of Church and State? The First Amendment guarantees Freedom of Religion because the practice of religion IS essential.
A little more separation of the Press and the Democrats would help this nation immensely.
Liberals like Velshi continue to cite a non-existent constitutional provision on “separation of church and state.” In any case, Pres. Trump is in no way promoting the establishment of a state religion. He is promoting the reopening of ALL houses of worship!

What part of “Congress shall make no law regarding and establishment of religion or the free exercise thereof” is it that this cretin is failing to grasp? Trump is undoing the unconstitutional interference by the state, here. Count on the left to get it exactly backwards every time.
