This topic is inspired by the many what book / what music topics over the years, also by mairdie's cool vids of classical or jazz soundtracks over art montages.

The Long Lavender Look - John D. MacDonald. Reading while on the beach at Orange Beach, AL, and sipping a martini made with Plymouth Gin.
I’m currently 700 pages into “The Last Lion” Winston Spencer Churchill Defender Of The Realm, 1940-1965. The authors are William Manchester, and Paul Reid.

Two weeks after 9/11, I saw Tommy Emmanuel live in Scottsdale, AZ. First time I felt alive after the towers came down.
Thank you Tommy.

Three days ago I finished reading, “Hell’s Angels. The true Story of the 303rd Bomb Group in World War II.”
Yesterday I just received, “Assured Destruction. Building the Ballistic Missile Culture of the U.S. Air Force.”
I will start reading that tomorrow.
Currently reading “The Age of Wonder” by Richard Holmes. It “...is a colorful and utterly absorbing history of the men and women who gave birth to the Romantic Age of Science.”
Been watching “The Last Kingdom”. I also like “Killing Eve”, which is surprising.
I havent heard anything other than there will be a fourth season of Goliath.
Same here. I liked the first two seasons, but the third not so much. Maybe #4 will be another winner.
I have also recently discovered The Rogers 7 in music. Here is a piece from them.
I agree, the third Goliath season was the weakest.
I've enjoyed Eric Johnson's recordings (well, the one with "Cliffs of Dover" on it, it's, uh, around here somewhere; the way I keep house, the Mob could have dumped Hoffa's body in here and I'd never find it) but I'd guess that I'd want a sort of close-up unplugged live experience, rather than some kind of arena setting.
The other tune from that album that sticks with me is "Forty Mile Town". Haven't heard that one in many years, I'll link it here and listen to it on the Pi 4. :^)
Eric Johnson - Forty Mile Town
Eric Johnson - Cliffs of Dover - 5/4/19 Dallas International Guitar Festival
1927, wow, that guy was around for a long time.
Nice! New to me, *and* I’m a hayseed at heart, so bonus!
