The U.S. death rate for coronavirus is lower than many European countries, yet 38% of American voters think the United States is doing a "worse job" in handling COVID-19 according to a new Just the News Daily Poll with Scott Rasmussen.
Twenty-one percent of voters nationwide (21%) believe the U.S. has handled the coronavirus better than other nations while 38% say worse.

Well, it appears that 38% of the American are too stupid to vote.

That’s because they keep presenting the number of deaths reported instead of presenting that along side the percentage per 100,000 people. The Trump administration is doing a good job, but there are a whole lot of people doing the CCP’s propagandists job for them. I think there needs to be a come to Jesus moment right now for all of America, that is led by people like us, not by the administration, that lays out a case for the harm the uniparty has done to all of us by foolishly selling us out to the CCP. Now is the time.
My feeling is that this is a way that average-person left, right, and center can reconcile our differences while freezing out most of Washington and the coastal elites. It’s sneaky, because at the end of the day, the only (and I do mean, the only) person who has listened to these people who had reconciled themselves to elections of lesser evils, is Donald J. Trump. That’s going to be hard for a lot of people currently stuck in the echo chamber.

38%? That is a very low group of doubters there.
We need to individually have, as you say, “a come to Jesus moment” with two new people each week using the data given in articles like this.
Some of us may not know enough or come across enough people to make the 2 new people “quota”. Others can perhaps exceed the “quota” due to social avenues available to them.
It’s easy to be a DemocRat. Just half listen to what Trump says, distort it and take the polar opposite position. No brainpower required.
The thing that stands out is that the US has almost a third of the world's known cases, but only 4.2% of the population.
Of course, if we did more testing, that would account for more cases, wouldn't it? Well, relative to Europe, we haven't done more testing. Tests/1M population is lower than Spain, Italy, and German, but higher than France and UK.
Possibilities:
The US has a bigger population. How do we compare cases to population?
We have 3890 cases per 1M population. We've done better at containment than Spain which has 5494. But the other European countries have fewer cases/1M, Italy 3570, UK 1559, Germany 1823, France 2961.
So if we've done a worse job of containment, then wouldn't that show in our deaths/1M population?
We are at 232 deaths /1M population. Spain is at 558, italy 495, UK 451, France 398, Germany 88. So our death rate is better than all but Germany regardless of how many cases we have.
Possibilitiies:
Perhaps another thing to look at, is whether new cases are dropping off. Again we got it later, so we might look bad in that regard. I suspect we travel more in the US than Europe does. Which makes us a containment nightmare.
I think the score is mixed. If we had banned travel from every country with 100 cases or more, we would have blocked a bunch of cases from Italy. That would have helped some. Maybe the lock downs could have been harder. We certainly could have been emphasizing masks during the lock down. We didn't, and I suspect that's why we haven't seen a drop off.
We need to understand the current spread better. NY is asking the right questions, but they need to dig deeper.
NY says 66% of hospitalizations are from home lock down cases. Are they single family homes or multi-tenant units? How are they getting groceries. How are they getting exposed?
