The Pentagon has declassified three previously leaked top-secret U.S. Navy videos that show unexplained aerial phenomena and that some believe could show Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) in an effort to clear up any misconceptions by the public on whether or not the footage that has been circulating was real or whether or not there is more to the videos, said a Pentagon spokesperson.
The aerial phenomena observed in the videos remain characterized as unidentified', the spokesperson added.
The Department of Defense has authorized the release of three unclassified Navy videos, one taken in November 2004 and the other two in January 2015, which have been circulating in the public domain after unauthorized releases in 2007 and 2017, said Susan Gough, a Defense Department spokesperson in a statement released Monday.
The 2004 video shows an incident that happened 100 miles out over the Pacific, according to the New York Times. Two Navy fighter pilots found a oblong object hovering above the water. It then flew quickly away. It accelerated like nothing Ive ever seen, one of pilots, Commander David Fravor, told the NYT.
The 2015 videos show objects moving quickly through the sky, one of them seeming to spin in the air. Look at that thing, dude! a pilot says. Its rotating!
The release of the videos by the Pentagon adds to the legitimacy of the the videos and will spur more speculation that humans have recently interacted with extra terrestrials. The Navy has guidelines for reporting UFO sightings.

In response, the former Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid, from Nevada, tweeted the three videos only scratches the surface of research and materials available.

So The Pentagon declassified the videos in an effort to clear up any misconceptions by the public on whether or not the footage that has been circulating was real or whether or not there is more to the videos. The question remains why is the Pentagon releasing these videos in the middle of a pandemic?
What do you think?

To give us something else to watch other than kitten videos.......
A more important question, “Why were they a secret to begin with and why is most of 1947 crash still highly classified?”
Indictments are coming and they want this to lead?
Circuses, to go with our bread.
WHY is the Pentagon releasing these videos in the middle of a pandemic?

Or perhaps to hint where those cute kittens came from? ;-)
The aliens are bringing us the cure for Kung Flu?
So the government is admitting there are UFO’s
And they laughed at Trump’s Space Force creation.
Hopefully we’ve back engineered enough of their stuff so we can protect ourselves. Not everyone you meet in space may be friendly.
To prepare those left behind after the rapture for any explanation other than Jesus?
My personal opinion is that these are aerial craft from black budget special access programs. The fact that the Pentagon is releasing these means that they will soon admit to having this technology, and the secret arms race will become public.
I like this one!
Just as good, maybe better than any of the others.
Its pretty slick, really. Take ownership when no one will notice.
Because we're all in this together including our alien visitors........

Drones.
Very blurry, fuzzy images, difficult to interpret.
“...and the secret arms race will become public.”

It is also my belief that the technology is ‘ours’ (I used that word loosely), and you only need to go back to how the CIA commissioned the various stealth and high altitude supersonic designs in the 60s that didn’t become common knowledge for decades to see how that potential for hyper secret technology can exist and remain compartmentalized from even the highest levels of ‘government’.
But to your point, there is absolutely no strategic reason to tip your hand to having such cards unless you need it as a deterrent for war... which to me, if true, is a worrisome thought, because I wouldn’t show those cards unless absolutely necessary.
Didnt know if adversaries had leaped ahead and left us in the dust.
Also, the American people want answers right now, so policy was to retain and study to see if they are one of ours or China or Russian.
Now they can say they studied them and have no answers other than we are looking into the sightings. We have a responsibility to protect our national airspace, with UFOs we couldnt very well say, sorry, we cant protect you. Have no idea.
Also, too much documentation of sightings.
Saw one myself.
All this nonsense about pilots seeing a UFO AND THEN SAYING: did you see that? Im not going say anything (implying MIB show up and threaten you). Never happened and wont happen.
In my case, the other pilot and I couldnt wait to land and tell everyone about our sighting.
Years ago they encouraged pilots to publicly say they saw something as the reports usually were reported in National Enquiry, thereby discrediting sightings. Now we have very good tapes and recording devices.
Except for the fact you didnt actually SEE it, did you Commander?
No, he/they did not. They were electronic tracking signals, from a new radar system in the plane, that reportedly still needed major development and upgrades. Did the NYT mention that? No mention in the article above,
Not everyone you meet in space may be friendly.

A very rational assumption IMO. There seems to be an overwhelmin perception/assumption that advanced extraterrestial beings would be benign (for which there is no basis) .
