DETROIT, MIOn Meet the Press Sunday, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer reminded everyone that "revolutions and revolts are simply un-American."
Whitmer called on the protesters in her state to stop their illegal assembling, reminding them that protesting so-called tyranny is a foreign idea to the history of the United States.
"Protesting and revolting against your wise rulers goes against everything America was built on," she said. "It flies in the face of every American tradition. Revolting against tyranny has no place in this great country."
Governor Whitmer then rattled off a long list of things that she also believes to be un-American:
* Declaring independence from tyrants"If you're really Americans, you'll stop with this dangerous revolutionary activity," she concluded.* Having a list of protected rights
* Separation of powers
* Democratically elected leaders
* Freedom of religion, assembly, the press, protests, and speech.
* Federalism
* Apple pie
* Baseball
* America
yep she would be a loyalist
I started reading this and was about 3 sentences in before I thought to check the source. Babylon Bee is so deft at writing articles that walk that fine line between satire and “that doesn’t surprise me”.
” your WISE RULERS “ ? OMG, this woman is evil. I didn’t know we had “rulers” in America. And “wise”? She needs to go.
I wonder if Babylon Bee even has reporters. They’re great ficton writers, and hilarious. I hope Witmer sees the article.
Watched a documentary on the East Germans and their paranoia. But what stood out for me was, along with the level of scrutiny we are under going today, was their motto.
“WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER”
Where have we heard this lately?
The Babylon Bee, America’s newspaper of record.
’WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER’
Where have we heard this lately?”
Oh, that’s pretty scary. For the record, I’ve never been “in this” — together or otherwise. Guess it’s true that history repeats itself.
It was also used by the Nazis.
Which of the founders came up with the "What if" that led to the Bill of rights?
Wait ... what?!
They have reporters who merely have to tweak a word here and there because the comedy is writing itself. Whitner actually forbade purchasing seeds and home improvement products. “She hates these flower pots!”
“Democrats are evil.”

And the peasants are revolting.
