Dr. Anthony Fauci UNLOADED on President Trump on Easter Sunday. The controversial doctor and head of the NIH slammed President Trump on CNN. What a DISGRACE!This is the same doctor who has been wrong EVERY STEP OF THE WAY! WHITE House coronavirus expert Dr Tony Fauci said Sunday lives could have been saved if US had been shut down earlier.
Speaking on CNN, the immunologist said the US could start to reopen next month, but warned a second wave of the virus could still hit the country.
During the interview, Fauci revealed that the government had been advised to begin social distancing measures in February.
President Trump announced plans to roll out “self-isolating” in mid March.
“We look at it from a pure health standpoint,” Fauci said. “We make a recommendation, often the recommendation is taken, sometimes it’s not.
“But it is what it is.”
Fauci was then asked if lives could have been saved if stay at home measures had started in February, rather than almost a month later.
“Obviously you could logically say that if you had a process that was ongoing and you started mitigation earlier you could’ve saved lives, obviously,” he replied.
“No-one is going to deny that. “But there was a lot of pushback about shutting things down back then.”

This was discussed earlier today and there are plenty of quotes from the good doctor from that actual time that basically contradict the narrative he told this morning.

Dr. Fauci will be asked about these Sunday News Show comments by CNN while POTUS Trump is standing behind him.
That will be interesting to hear and see.

I thought POTUS banned fauchi and scarf from that channel. He needs to filet them on tv at next news conference.
The CDC and FDA prevented early testing. So we had no reliable US data. Fauci says publically, “no worries!” Trump wanted to push HCQ, and all around him they said “No!!!!”
Flying blind, no HCQ rampup. Then the fake models overseas forecast end-of-the-world. So no data, horrendous forecasts, Trump finally said, “Ok, shut it down.”
Then the narrative changes. Hypocrites say “Trump’s fault! Should have shutdown sooner!!!” Schiff right on time, wants (impeachment) hearings.
Now Fauci completes his sabotage, by kicking the stool out from Trump. Mission accomplished, Deep State!
Meanwhile, we could all have been on HCQ for weeks, as a preventative, without shutting down the economy.

I didn’t see the show, but I saw the alleged “anti-Trump” quotes in the Drudge article. I didn’t see any direct reference to Trump, only a claim that - in perfect hindsight - we could have saved lives if we’d shut down things earlier. But even the governors who are getting kudos for their quick response - Inslee (D-WA) and Newsom (D-CA) - didn’t really shut things down until mid-March.
Just reading this excerpted snippet, it is obvious this is taken out of context and does not merit the all caps “UNLOADS on Trump” phrase.
Fauci said, “We look at this from a pure health standpoint...” meaning our job is to make recommendations, but we realize we are not taking account of all the other factors that go into making important decisions like this.
On the other hand, I do get the impression that he loves doing these interviews too much.
