ORANGE COUNTY (VINnews) A Hasidic man who had an appointment at a Toyota Service Center in Orange County on Monday morning, was asked to leave without getting service.
When he confronted them, pointing to the fact that he had an appointment, and they were clearly servicing other customers, he was told because you are spreading the virus.
The Toyota center has been identified as Johnstons Toyota in New Hampton, NY.
You’re welcome.
Antisemite much, you disgusting chump? How DARE you malign an entire group with your gutter mentality? YOU are the one who stinks to high heaven, boychik.
What about the Amish and the Schwartzentrauber Amish in their bathing practices
It was the Corolla—NOT the Corona. Good God, what are you drinking?
LOL. Given your screen name, I suspect there’s expertise there about the names of various models of cars.
1979 Toyota Corona.
Toyota used to manufacture a model called the Corona.
Was my cousin driving a Not Corona?
Yes I had a 72 Corona tho someone
stole it for parts.
Last 3 cars have been Corollas—
00, 07, 15.
It’s not enough to make a judgement call on. What else happened? WHY was he filming to begin with?
I’ll just say I grew up in Rockland and Orange Counties in NY, and have personal experience with the Hasidic communities in both.
They can be very trying neighbors.
Don’t even bring out your name calling on this one; if you don’t know, you don’t know.
I’m inclined to side with the auto shop.
Yes and no. They sold the Corona in the US until 1983. Toyota continued to use the Corona name on various other models they sold in Japan and other markets until 2001 when the name was dropped altogether.
I grew up in Rockland and we lived in Orange before moving to FL. Sometimes they can be a PITA but when I made deliveries in NYC they were actually good people to do business with.
No kidding?! Well hello, neighbor!
My family was from Nyack and Spring Valley/Nanuet, I grew up in North Rockland. Ended up in the little village next to West Point.
Now I’m way up north in Saratoga.
I understand what you’ve said about being OK to deal with. I don’t disagree.
Namaste :)
I lived in Tallman, went to dear old Suffern HS. You lived around Cornwall or Highland Falls? George Petraeus came from that area. Small world!
Oh .... I know Tallman. I worked for PPA Associates. Had a dear friend from there - Jim Smith.
And, yes, it was Highland Falls. LOVED that little village. I think Patraeus was from Cornwall so he was not really a local celebrity - especially since he was Pointer :)
Small world indeed.
I just had a flashback to Stella’s Deli bagels.
Yes Stella’s! They made good pizza. Also 3 Boys From Italy nearby and Jimmy’s in Monsey. Stella’s is now a kosher deli, they do make pretty good falafels.
I've heard that a number of times over the years. I have been acquainted with a number of Hasidim but never noted any to be unusually dirty.
No, the Corolla was a subcompact while the Corona was near to midsize. Made from 1957-2001.
There are literally a thousand sects of Hasidic Jews. All have different rules.
I grew up in NYC.
Every once in a great while, on the subway, you are literally overpowered by the BO.
