These are not the polls the corrupt news media was hoping to see. Not at all. After two solid weeks of the corrupt news media and prominent Democrats parroting the talking points of the communist Chinese government, the public is obviously grown weary of the nonsense. No one with a normal, functioning brain believes that the terms Chinese flu or China virus that President Donald Trump likes to use are in any real way racist. They simply and accurately identify the source of the virus that is killing thousands of people all over the world.

The publics weariness of the tiresome media/Democrat narrative is now showing up in polling data, with no fewer than four new national polls this past week showing strong majorities of Americans pulling together to reject the narrative and approving of the Presidents handling of the crisis. In the two most recent polls, taken this week as the media focus on this non-issue reached a fever pitch, the majority margin is now in double digits.
A new ABC/Ipsos poll released early on Friday shows the approve/disapprove ratio at 55% to 43%, and a new poll from Morning Consult released on Friday afternoon pegs the margin at a whopping 53% to 39%.
The corrupt media petulance moved into the silly season at Fridays Coronavirus Task Force press conference. The questioning became so absurd that even the normally composed Dr. Anthony Fauci, a 40+ year veteran of such events, snapped at the media twice for reporters efforts to mischaracterize some of his own comments.
Unfortunately, though, Faucis own comments intentionally downplaying the potential for hydroxychloroquine to treat coronavirus ended up playing a dominant role in the presser.
The Presidents most notable confrontation of the Friday event came with inveterate jackass MSNBC reporter Peter Alexander, who decided it was his role to debate the POTUS on whether or not he was being reassuring enough to the American people.
Heres a longer, unedited clip of the exchange, not the highly-edited one pretty much every TV outlet decided to run with later:
Buddy Belk @LessGovMoreFun . Here is the full clip, (not the abbreviated dem-clip they've passed around) -- where NBC's Peter Alexander talks over @POTUS, interrupts him, and asks bombastic questions:#ConCast#ChinaCoronavirus#FF

Alexander: What do you say to Americans who are scared, though, nearly 200 dead, 14,000 who are sick, millions, as you witness, who are scared right now. What do you say to Americans who are watching you right now who are scared?
Trump: I say that you are a terrible reporter. Thats what I say. [crosstalk]
Alexander: [badgering now] But what do you say
Trump: I say thats a very nasty question, and I think its a very bad signal that youre putting out to the American people. The American people are looking for answers, and they are looking for hope. And youre doing sensationalism, and the same with NBC and Comcast, I dont call
Alexander: [more badgering]
Trump: I dont call it Comcast, I call it Comcast [more badgering] let me just, for who you work [more badgering] let me just tell you something: Thats really bad reporting, and you ought to get back to reporting instead of sensationalism. Lets see if it [hydroxychloroquine] works: It might, and it might not. [more badgering] I happen to feel good about it, but who knows? Ive been right a lot. Lets see what happens.

Now, what had led up to this was really caused by Dr. Fauci, whose real agenda in all of this remains a matter that is still up in the air. Fauci, despite multiple peer-reviewed international studies one of which we talked about in yesterdays Campaign Update indicating that hydroxychloroquine, a plentiful, well-known anti-Malaria treatment, is highly effective in actually curing coronavirus, had just finished his own statement during which he severely downplayed the potential for that drug to help in this pandemic, choosing instead to focus on new drugs that are in the development phase.
Several things are important to note here:
Fauci is a life-long bureaucrat, and it is the nature of bureaucrats to protect their own turf and always seek to expand it. His remarks were entirely consistent with this professional outlook. Those new drugs stand to make billions for American Big Pharma in the context of this plague. Profits from mass production and distribution of a well-known, pre-existing drug like hydroxychloroquine would be far, far less. And, The use of an already-approved, well-known drug denies federal bureaucrats the opportunity to gum up the process and claim credit. So, what is Faucis real motivation here? Is he just another turf-protecting bureaucrat who is being influenced by corporations and their lobbyists? It certainly happens. But to his credit, Fauci did come back to the podium later and lecture the reporters in the room for overstating his previous remarks.
Another concern about Fauci surfaced on Friday, this in the form of a letter he sent to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton after her shamefully dishonest Benghazi-related testimony before the House Intelligence Committee in 2013. Here is the text of that email, which can best be characterized as a love letter, found yesterday in the files of WikiLeaks:
From your doctor admirer From: Fauci, Anthony (NIH/NIAID) [E]
Sent: Wednesday, January 23, 2013 6:10 PM
To: Mills, Cheryl D
Subject: Todays performance
Cheryl: Anyone who had any doubts about the Secretarys stamina and capability following her illness had those doubts washed away by todays performance before the Senate and the House. She faced extremely difficult circumstances at the Hearings and still she hit it right out of the park. Please tell her that we all love her and are very proud to know her.

My goodness. Please tell her we all love her? Really???
At best, this letter and his remarks at Fridays press conference show lack of judgment and situational awareness on Dr. Faucis part. At worst, well, lets hope the worst case scenario is not in play, because lives are literally at stake.
Bottom line, it is best to treat everything this guy says with a very skeptical ear.
That is all.
Many morons on the far left cant wait for Trump to fire Fauci, simply so they can say that he is firing experts.
Many morons are claiming that Trump is keeping Fauci from the media....I have no idea where that one comes from.
Illness? To what illness does she refer? I don't recall HC telling us anything about an illness.
I don't think anyone is suggesting decades long use.
It might be that Dr. Fauci has spent too much time in government, and does not approve of the gauche Mr. Trump.
Glad the general public is finally waking up to the Fauci/Clinton connection.
We’ve been discussing, for over a week, on the CV threads.
Lots of pics of Hildebeast and her man Fauci, out there.
How long before POTUS muzzles Tony?
I didn’t like how Fauci downplayed the use of chloroquine, to treat CV, after POTUS called it a game changer.
LOVE my POTUS.
Why not ask one of them? I'm available.
That Stonehenge thing that stands in Georgia clearly states the plan of the elites is to cull the population of the planet to around 500 million, down a slight SEVEN BILLION OR MORE PEOPLE!! No worries. No problem. Just virus them off the planet in a “normal” breakout of illnesses we didn’t know existed. We have had what, 250-something or the other die in the US since this outbreak. During the good ole Obammy years, we had 60 million get sick with the Swine Flu, with 300,000 sick in hospitals, a mere 12,000 DEATHS from it. But, who ever knew???? The stinking communist news network never told us, did they????????? Cull the population by common and uncommon illnesses. Neat move by the commies.
The clip and the transcript don’t start early enough. As I recall, just before they start, Alexander was zinging trump for being too positive, too optimistic. That’s why Trump responded to the question the way he did.
As to Trump vs Fauci: Trump seems to be looking at the glass as half full and Fauci is looking at it as half empty or at least as questioning whether it’s half full or half empty. But they’re talking about the same glass.
Hes obviously playing politics with the situation. Trump knows it......
Fauci needs to be fired, along with any other Democrat plant in all these agencies. There is absolutely no reason to have a Republican president, if they can’t get other like minded individuals to head and operate the entire government. The Democrats obviously do it, so quit wasting time Mr. President.
If they are a Democrat, every decision is suspect, they do not think in the same way as we do, thus their decisions are influenced by leftist motives, just as our decisions should be influenced by conservative motives. It affects everything.
Fauci was nor ready for this
Fauci foot dragging on known, safe and inexpensive cure
Fauci pushing tests with a known high rate of false positives
Enough. He needs to go.
We need to get Trump out so we can grow and expand our agencies.
I have been watching Fauci for a long time. He is totally in bed with Big Pharma and even went out of his way to torpedo promising drugs for radiation and immune therapy. I watched him do it first hand as I was an investor in a San Diego based pharma. The man is dirty. He needs to retire.
A science teacher type and a businessman type-they will answer questions differently.
Fauci is a deep state enemy! Can him with extreme prejudice!!
Any dubious loyalty or hidden agenda with her?
Make people earn your trust, no matter how uh, attractive they are?
It seems to me that there is enough evidence to use chloroquinine liberally early in the treatment of high risk infected individuals - for example, patients over 75 or those with existing pulmonary or immmune disorders.
It may be premature to give this to the 10s or 100s of thousands of Americans who will test positive for the virus in the coming days, but are young, healthy and at very little risk.
The problem with Fauci and the medical establishment is that they are asking the public to submit to draconian measures to respond to what they characterize as a unprecedented situation, but for the most part seem completely unwilling to consider the possibility of modifying their standard procedures.
The blame for the lack of availability of tests rests entirely on the shoulders of the bureaucrats at the CDC (90% of whom voted for Hillary). The only extent in which Trump is to blame is he should have ordered the CDC and FDA to approve private development and production 2 weeks before he finally did.
Now that this upon us, we should streamline the processes for approval of drugs for treatment to days and for approval of vaccines to months. Yes, collect the statistics and do the science. Yes, limit the use of treaments that are not fully vetted to the individuals with the most risk.
We are also hearing constant news reports of shortages of medical personnel. Why can’t we temporarily change the requirements for medical workers? Let’s put students training in health professions to work (they are probably at much lower risk than 65 year old doctors). Let’s call for volunteers. There are plenty of patriotic individuals who would rather help than sit at home. Surely the basics of treating individuals with one specific condition could be taught to any educated person in a few days.
If this truly is an unprecedented national emergency, the health and medical bureaucracy needs to start acted like it.
And lawyers will sue if one in a million die or have serious side-effects.
(No proper testing, no complete testing cycle, no trials to assess effects-does it have dreadful side effects when taken over a period of time, etc. . .)
Darned lawyers are the ruin of all.
Excellent post
