Yesterdays Campaign Update focused on the efforts by Acting Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Ric Grenell to identify and get rid of the bad actors remaining embeded within the Intelligence Community (IC), and the panic that is creating in the Deep State and its corrupt media hacks at the New York Times.
Today, Jonathan Swan who is actually a pretty solid working journalist at Axios has a report that will drive the Brennans, Comeys and Clappers of the world even crazier: It turns out that President Trump has assigned people within his body of trusted advisors to spend the last year-and-a-half compiling lists of disloyal government officials, along with names of Trump supporters who are qualified and willing to replace them.
As reported by Swan:
The Trump White House and its allies, over the past 18 months, assembled detailed lists of disloyal government officials to oust and trusted pro-Trump people to replace them according to more than a dozen sources familiar with the effort who spoke to Axios.
Driving the news: By the time President Trump instructed his 29-year-old former body man and new head of presidential personnel to rid his government of anti-Trump officials, hed gathered reams of material to support his suspicions.
While Trumps distrust has only intensified since his impeachment and acquittal, he has long been on the hunt for bad people inside the White House and U.S. government, and fresh pro-Trump options. Outside advisers have been happy to oblige. Oh, man, heads must be exploding at the Times, the Washington Post, CNN and MSNBC over this one. And can you imagine the nervous breakdowns taking place all over the offices of the CIA, FBI, DOJ and State Department?
Perhaps the best part of Swans piece is his concluding paragraph:
The bottom line: As the New York Times Peter Baker wrote on Saturday, in some of the most critical corners of the Trump administration, officials show up for work now never entirely sure who will be there by the end of the evening themselves included.
Good. Great. Fantastic. This is three years overdue, a house-cleaning the President has been counseled to forego due to political factors and the interminable coup detat effort against him led by Rod Rosenstein, Robert Mueller, Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi.
Now that the idiotic impeachment scam has run its course, President Trump according to Swan feels liberated, free to finally rid his administration of seditious Obama/Bush/Clinton holdovers and put his own people into key positions. In every previous presidential administration in our history, this kind of house-cleaning was considered to be standard operating procedure. But due to the efforts of the Deep State and its corrupt media toadies, it has taken three long years enduring constant leaks, subversions and betrayals for this President to feel free to finally do what he was elected to do.
Man, this is going to be some fun.
That is all.
Anything that makes the deep state nuts works for me... and most Americans...
Since the President started his time in office not knowing who in the political arena really supported him and since 90+ % of government “workers” in WDC despise him, what did you expect? Even many in the republican party opposed him (some anti-Trumpers to this day). I blame the often quisling/castrato repubs for this situation.
Once the bad actors are expunged, EVERYTHING they ever communicated, and to whom, needs to be documented AND reviewed for criminal unauthorized release.
I truly believe that Donald had no idea of how corrupt Obama and his Chicago Democrats were and are. It’s difficult, when you are honest, to understand and internalize the moral depths Democrats exist at.
“but dont forget the context of the time”
He could have executed it as a routine personnel action on the first day via the WH personnel director.
Virtually without controversy.
If any controversy emerged, he could have cited Clinton firing every US Attorney on day 1. And so many others.
Bill Clinton did his housecleaning at the beginning. No one raised a fuss.
Obama did his housecleaning at the beginning. No one raised a fuss.
Donald Trump has been in there was 3 years, he’s looked around, he has weighed his options, and is now making some judicious decisions about housecleaning. Is this suddenly an impeachable offense?
I think his team lacked known quality people to assume leadership within the agencies.
“what did you expect”?
The most basic knowledge of history and the exercise of power.
Not even Obama made this mistake.
as the article points out, the promised large scale swamp-draining is “three years overdue”
President Trump also did not know how many people in R jerseys were in bed with the Democrats to complete the Bush Plan for North Mexico (aka USA) and opposed to most of his agenda of securing the border and restoring the rule of law.
Trump should have been prepared to clean house his first day in office.
About Freakin’ Time!!
“President Trump also did not know how many people in R jerseys were in bed with the Democrats to complete the Bush Plan”
But he knew who were Obama and Bush holdovers.
He could have started there and branched out.
Get to it !
I believe that due to civil service protections, he can’t actually fire them. But he can do a Japanese-style demotion, where they get offices or cubicles with zero responsibilities. Or he could send them out to Alaska to enumerate every individual ice crystal (and no 2 crystals are alike) for the edification of future generations.
Although.. Had he done that and fired them all way back then.. would we now know the extent of the Deep State? Letting them attempt their Evil deeds and fail made them desperate.. It has brought them out of hiding for All to see.
Well, there’s always the Democrats if you can’t take Trump anymore.
From the article.
“...assembled detailed lists of disloyal government officials to oust and trusted pro-Trump people to replace them...”
This should have been done in the months BEFORE Trump’s inauguration.
Spot on!
Most people forget that everyone, including Trump, expected Hillary to win. Therefore he had not prepared a plan and a team. My fantasy is that he began his campaign with encouragement from Ivanka, who was encouraged by her then BFF - Chelsie Clinton, because he had made some earlier remarks and HRC thought he might clear the competition but definitely be a straw horse in the election. The “insurance policy” was belt and suspenders for the conspiracy, that included taking down and paying off Bernie, and anyone else that neede a book deal to comply, like some many now with 6-7 figure contracts.
