Steve Bannon is having some of the leading doctors/scientists on, talking about the virus, its spread, what is really happening in China, how it affects our national security, etc. I personally think it’s the best info available, coming from folks who work in the field (virus hunters, etc.), not the Fake News reporter/reporterettes spinning a narrative. I read an article about a week ago that was saying this might be a race specific virus in that everyone who had died from it so far was Chinese or Asian. They were comparing it to SARS or some other virus that mainly affected indigenous peoples.

Not sure if that is just because of where the spread started or whether there is some truth to that.

Are non Chinese Westerners living and working in Wusan becoming infected and dying at the same rate as endemic , genetic Chinese? Understanding a given populations genetic susceptibility to any virulent pathogen is critical in determining if it remains a pandemic or epidemic. By asking and investigating those questions, even scientists and physicians are subject to career ending accusations of racism.
