Something in me thinks Bloomberg will go third party in the hope of taking the middle between Trump/Pence and Buttigieg/Klobuchar, then getting enough states to keep either GOP or Dem from 270 electoral votes.
That would send the decision to the House, where each state gets one vote. Bloomberg would attempt to present himself publicly as the Moderate, while whispering behind closed doors that he would stop the swamp draining, getting DC behind him. It’s the only way he can become President, and he is the only person who can afford to make it happen.
Well lets see, claiming 95% of all murders are by black youths.... Factually and Demonstrably incorrect.... by any analysis.
Now in in a sane world, he could just say he was speaking in hyperbole.. but we do not live in a sane world.
“Neither. There is a mystery candidate waiting in the wings.”
Yep. Not sure who I’m thinking a Oprah type out of the blue that will surprise everyone.
It will be Bernie.
He will lose bigly.
The DNC is throwing this one.
No idea.
Since SC is not having a Republican primary I’m gonna go vote for crazy Joe.
Bloomberg doesn't need to poll well. He doesn't need to poll hardly at all. He just needs to get enough delegates to block Sanders from getting the nomination before the convention.
All other candidates have to continually convince the big money donors that they are viable or their supply of OPM (other people's money) gets cut off. Bloomberg doesn't need OPM. He can throw a billion dollars of his own money into his campaign just using the profits he is making from the Trump stock market.
I am convinced that the only reason Bloomberg is running is not to win, but so he can ignore all of the campaign finance contribution limits and sink an unlimited amount of his billions into anti-Trump ads. Campaign finance laws are for the little people. As long as no one else locks in the nomination and he can continue to pretend to be a candidate, he can continue to run those ads nationwide all the way until the convention.
To Bloomberg, blocking an avowed Socialist like Bernie from getting the nomination would simply be a bonus. Getting a hand in brokering the eventual nominee (who would then be indebted to him) would be an extra perk that he would consider well worth his investment.
And those that are here illegally.
He can pick Maxine Waters! Peach fordifi!
President/Vice President nominees can’t be from the same state.
Is Hillary actually from New York?
I thought she was residing in D.C.?
Thought the NY thing was temporary.
Haven’t kept on that. Thanks.
‘Peach Foti Seis!
The DNC is broke. I predict that it will be Mini Mike.
I can’t wait for the Trump rally that says “Bloomberg is a racist” instead of “Lock her up”.
Must see TV.
Um... Mano a Mano means hand to hand...not man to man.
I’m not in complete agreement with you, but that’s OK - that’s why we can respond to each other. So who is left that is a (semi-) serious candidate.
Bernie
Bloomberg
Buttplug
Klobuchar (sounds like the alien overlord ready to invade Earth)
Fauxcahontas
Slo Jo
The last two are done, I think that everyone agrees. So its Bernie, Bloomberg, Buttplug and the Alien Overlord.
Bernie - has a rabid and sizable following. They feel quite ripped-off after Queen Cankles and the DNC cooperated to make sure that she would get the nomination. He just won a primary (albeit not by a lot), and looks to be quite strong. There’s a real big question as to whether his supporters will show up in any kind of meaningful numbers (which is to say, at least 95%) for any other candidate. Many have said that either he gets the nomination, or I stay home.
Bloomberg - nakedly buying the nomination, everyone knows it. Rather ironic that a white guy who is so much of a multi-billionaire that he makes Trump look like a pauper, is seriously in contention for the nomination of a party that is actively shunning whites, and wants to eat billionaires after nationalizing their wealth. Of course, a couple days ago there was the release of some pretty racist comments by him - objectively so, even I thought that they were, and I’m incredibly skeptical when someone claims that another person is a racist. I really don’t think that the white billionaire racist, who really, really hates it when you order a large soda, is going to get the nomination. We’ll see on Super Tuesday whether he has any serious traction, but I’m betting against it.
Buttplug - put aside all issues of his open homosexuality and having him refer to someone with a package as “my wife” (EEEWWWWWWW). Really, put it aside. Who is this guy? He’s an articulate guy with military experience (kudos to him, legitimately), who is also 37 years old and is the mayor of South Bend, Indiana. Honestly, I have t-shirts older than him (really, I have one produced for our floor my freshman year in college, 41 years ago - not that it fits, but I still have it). South Bend? If it wasn’t for Notre Dame, only about 52 people would have heard about it. Seriously, he completely lacks experience, making Obama look like a heavyweight when he was running in 2008. Oh, and he’s a raging Leftist, just without the rage - he’s very calm, cool and collected about wanting to do to this country pretty much everything that Bernie wants to do...so why will a lot of people vote for him, and not Bernie who has been saying the same (evil) things since before Buttplug was even born? Oh, and Blacks seem to have a real dislike for him for some reason, so he has tossed out a lot of potential votes in the primaries. He will fizzle out on Super Tuesday.
Alien Overlord: Who ever heard of her, besides us political junkies? During the entire campaign, she isn’t going to be able to raise 1/10 of what Bloomberg spends on his personal (well-armed, gee isn’t that special) security in a month. She won’t get traction for the nomination. She is, IMHO, running for Veep...and may well get the nod because she doesn’t have a package.
I think that Bernie gets the nod, though it will not be by a lot. The Dems and their propaganda arm, the media, will fight that tooth-and-claw, but I think that he’ll win in the end because there really isn’t anyone else. Really, it is a field of empty suits and dresses. They have nothing except “I hate Donald Trump, and I want to give you as much free shit as you can imagine.” That’s if he doesn’t drop dead of a heart attack on the campaign trail.
Wild card: no one gets enough delegates to win on the first ballot, and Queen Cankles Jezebel Rodham, Witch of Chappaqua and Benefactor of the Suicide Hotline, will ride in on her dragon and “rescue” the Party.
Mr tRuMp, ThE ScIeNcE Is oN My sIdE, aNd i'd lIkE To sEe hOw yOuR HaIr wOuLd fArE In a bLiZzArD
She's a goofy boob.
I do get it.
The democrats in power hate Trump with a passion, but they are terrified of Sanders. If Sanders gets the nomination, he will take all of them down with him. If they get caught stealing the nomination from him again his supporters will sit out the election, taking all of them down with whoever gets the nomination. Sanders having another heart attack before the convention would be their dream come true (if he has any brains at all, he is having all of his food tested).
They tried to prop up Old Uncle Joe because he was a reliable idiot. Without Joe, Bloomberg is the next logical choice. He is a reliable liberal but not a Socialist and he is willing to spend a billion dollars of his own money financing his campaign. If they suck up nicely he will saturate the air with ads in all of the districts of vulnerable democrats.
Did I mention he is willing to spend a billion dollars of his own money financing his campaign and propping up theirs?
So what if he is a racist oligarch who is buying the nomination? He is THEIR racist oligarch and is willing to spend a billion dollars of his own money financing his campaign and propping up theirs.
Hand to hand combat. Get it?
