What happened to Matt Drudge? Top Conservative Publisher turns on Trump!
--
For the past week The Drudge Report has posted screaming headlines pushing President Trumps impeachment! At the same time Drudge has ignored President Trumps 50% Rasmussen approval rating 5 points higher than Barack Obama at the same time in his presidency.

You are welcome.
I quit Drudge about a month ago.
In my opinion, losing Drudge is a political catastrophe for Conservatives.
I agree that Drudge was not a Conservative, but for 20 years Drudge forced the Political Left to play defense almost every day.
Nationally, Conservatives have no way to replace him.
In my opinion, Drudge was the greatest headline writer of his generation.

Seriously, Matt Drudge has lost it 100%. He is insane and I mean insane. He needs both medical and mental assistance & treatment. I stopped using his site for information a long time ago!!!

Matt Drudge was a frequent guest of radio legend George Putnam KIEV Los Angeles. Thanks to Drudge, I discovered Free Republic where I lurked for many years during the unmoderated early days of the forum. Great fun and lots of viewpoints tolerated here. Back then Matt was having a blast with his successful startup operation. He was Republican mostly, maybe pro-choice, don't remember. Obviously his adept touch is missing on his site these days. He knew how to tease a headline, word it just right, build suspense, keep us checking in all day. He had his own byline that was worth the read as he broke news stories. He was the alt-right news before there was such a thing.
I never disparage him because he contributed greatly to my ability to stay on top of news that counts, columnists that count, newspapers, weather, too. All there in the smartest front page layout ever invented: the three column spread.
If he's gone off to play, I begrudge him nothing! But I rarely go to DrudgeReport now. Who needs the aggravation!?

I prefeer whatfinger.com. Drudge sold the site long ago. Its a shame that he allowed them to keep his name.

"...Loses One-Fifth of Audience, 200,000,000 Page Views!" Hooray! Now, with some numbers like these, I don't feel so alone... It's been four years since I permanently deleted Drudge... According to reports from my computers, it was sort of like having an enema...

I dont think he owns it or controls the content any more.
That's my understanding as well. It's like blaming Frank over Frank's HotDogs est. 1897. It's Drudge in name only. That said, the drudgereport never really was a great website truth be told. Stale content and in recent years more salacious.

The Drudge has become the movie “The Grudge, III”. Why> How the hell should I know. Drudge is a weirdo.

Drudge jumped the shark over two years ago. I haven’t visited that sight for at least two years.

I looked up that word at the Urban Dictionary site and am sorry for doing so. Almost as disgusting as looking at the Drudge site.

Fox is getting just as bad. They ginned up another phony poll this weekend that has half the country wanting Trump impeached and removed from office.

Looks like libs could not take down Drudge with the Drudge Retort, so they coopted it in a coocoo bird like move.
Or was it a psy op from the beginning to attract sheeps and make money...

He lost me after 20 some-odd years. I finally won't give him the clicks anymore. Sad. Used to be a fun site.
None of the "alternatives" have the old Drudge knack for basic tabloid fun (it shouldn't be all about politics). Oh well. Was fun while it lasted.
