A comment like that can end a Republican’s political career.

Someone should corner Uncle Joe when none of his staffers are around to whisper in his ear and ask him what year it is.

Amen, Joe. I mean nobody writes songs like
that Stephen Foster, right? Nothing beats lighting those whale oil lamps and grooving to his greatest hits like O, Susanna, My Darling Clementine and Jeannie With The Light Brown Hair while writing letters with quill and ink and hoping to be done in time for the Pony Express rider to pick them up later in the week.

I’ve lived through 78s, 45s, LPs, R2R, 8T, cassettes, CDs, Ipods, Pandora, and MP3s. Of them, I most value my turntables and vinyl. For me, it’s akin to the Japanese tea ceremony. CDs are just for car tunes.

Careful with those Spike Jones records, Joe, they’re worth their weight in Metamucil.
