Following controversy over a board members pro-Trump fundraising event earlier this month, tensions at the Shed in New York have heightened. Last week, the Observer reported that two artistsA. L. Steiner and Zackary Druckerhad removed their work in protest of the political gatheringorganized by Shed supporter Stephen M. Ross in the Hamptonsfrom an exhibition on view at the multidisciplinary art space. Two days after that report, another action followed.
On Sunday, as part of a performance, artist and DJ Thanushka Yakupitiyage and a guest performer, singer and harpist Elsz, brandished T-shirts and hung signs that protested Ross, a real-estate developer who owns the fitness brands Equinox and Soul Cycle and a board member who has been integral in helping fund the Shed in the commercial district of Hudson Yards. The shirts bore the message DECOLONIZE THIS PLACEan allusion to the activist group that repeatedly protested Warren B. Kanderss position as vice chair of the Whitney Museums board earlier this year. Signs surrounding the duo read $250,000 = ONE TICKET TO TRUMP FUNDRAISER and 250,000+ IMMIGRANTS DEPORTED IN 2018.
As a young queer artist of color, Ive been thinking about where there are opportunities to do work with integrity, Yakupitiyage, who also performs under the moniker Ushka, told ARTnews. Given the content of my work, I felt I could respond to whats been going on around Stephen M. Ross.

“Yakupitiyage, who also performs under the moniker Ushka”
LOL
Sheesh, the sensitivity of these LEFTists exceeds that of well-aged nitroglycerin!
Kam Fong as Chin Ho

The Left is apparently now writing their own articles for the Babylon Bee.
I liked Wo Fat on the original series.
Kooks
The Shed is a great performance space, part of the Hudson Yards project. Which of course was opposed by every leftist in NYC.

Are there no mental asylums? We need them more than ever. "A young queer artist of color" — Oh brother! This person's real name is probably something like "Helen Smith" or "Margaret Johnson". I guess I'm assuming it's a woman. Could be a man. Who knows?
If I have nothing else to be thankful for today, I can at least be thankful that I will never see this weirdo's "art".
Out of 279 episodes, Wo Fat appeared 15 times. But it was enough to make a lasting impact. Its funny when that happens. Allan Melvin only appeared on eight episodes of the Brady Bunch, but everyone remembers Sam the butcher.
“I liked Wo Fat on the original series.”
Another very common Chinese name is Fat Ho.
He was also the mess sergeant (dining hall supervisor) on Gomer Pyle USMC, remember?
It’s New York Jake.
He should immediately stop supporting shed, or to put it another way he should shed his support of shed and let them fund themselves.
Well, I guess that’s it, then. Once you’ve lost Thanushka Yakupitiyage, a young queer artist of color, the election might as well be over
In case you wondered where the thankless Thanushka Yakupitiyage is from, she is a “Sri Lankan born, Thailand raised activist, cultural organizer, and DJ under the artist moniker Ushka. When she isnt crafting dancefloor spaces, she’s a political and cultural organizer. She has performed across the U.S, Mexico, and Canadaincluding at institutions such as Brooklyn Museum, MoMA PS1, American Museum of Natural History, and the Rubin Museum. She is the NYU Asian/Pacific/American Institute 2018-19 artist-in-residence and was selected to be one of 52 artists who will be producing new work for The Shed Open Call in 2019.”

“Given the content of my work, I felt I could respond...”
IOW the talentless trash she puts out wasn’t getting any attention, so she felt she should get it by pitching a good ol’ stompy-foot hissy-fit.
Just... go away.
Find some place where the freaks go and just get out of my country.
