I saw 14 wild turkeys in my front yard yesterday.
Doe!!!
Good Rut...
It won’t earn you a single buck though...
Lil basstHerds are over populated in this area.
Boris definitely looks like the president. As though he could be Trumps oldest son. Same build and coloring. Same inclination to confront and be brash every so often.
Some of the Brits are already calling him Boris Trump, so I expect there will be times when he has to deliberately push back against Trump policies as a way to advertise his independence.
Given that the President DOES have Scot roots maybe they are related. LOL
Deer, turkeys, yeah.
But has anyone seen or heard a pheasant?
Have you ever heard a deer laugh?
Seriously.
I heard this freaky sound, TEE hee hee hee! TEEEEE EEEE! one evening.
What on earth??
Looked out the window. Saw a mama doe & her fawn, frolicking around, chasing each other in circles, nipping at each other’s butts.
Mama threw her head back and LAUGHED at her cute baby!
So stop abusing your right.........
FWIW, There are several squirrels that feast under my bird feeder........I'm gonna shoot them with my air rifle just to spite you and this stupid thread........
Their deaths will be on your hands.........
Made that comparison back in 2016 actually, using side by side pictures.
I believe they are both from the Hebrides, back a ways. Vikings settled there in 900 AD.
Ive got a six acre front lawn with a nice fescue bluegrass mix
Deer like to lounge in it when its puffy I guess like carpet
I come home late night and hit my brights and there might be a large group of splittails and kids
Another night a group of bucks ....some with mount worthy 15-22 inch spreads and ten inch tynes and four by fours or even a six by six
If I dont goose it they just lie there like deer and watch me drive by
They know they are safe in my yard.....they wouldnt be at deer camp
The other day I was going through our neighborhood and it was like the movie “The Birds”, only they were magpies. In all my days in our area, I’ve seen a few here and there pretty regularly, but never a hundred. Truly creepy.
We’re proud to offer local deer an all-you-can-eat backyard salad bar. Typical comment from the wife...”Well, I lost my hosta last night...”.
Was just up in the Finger Lakes and the wild turkey were all over the place.
I had a doe and 2 Bambis in the yard watching me today, I guess I need to shoot them and burn down the Forest now.
There are more deer in our county than there were back in 1776. Because back then if one wandered into your yard you took down the musket hanging over the fireplace or propped by the back door and harvested some venison. Today the only predator on them in most places is the automobile.
