I saw 14 wild turkeys in my front yard yesterday.

Saw three groups last night, while taking an evening walk.

7 in one group.

6 in another

And 8 in yet another

Those turkeys are everywhere as well. When I was growing up - never saw them except frozen at the supermarket. Now they are roaming all over the countryside.

Chickens too - in suburban areas.

Two places where I see a lot of wild chickens in public spaces: Key West, FL and Kauai, HI.

A couple days ago I was out on the sporting clays range on station 6, folks were shooting at station 5 too. I went to 5, and right when I got there 2 mule deer came out of the woods and started to eat some shrub oak leaves about 50 yards in front of me. Didn’t seem the slightest bit alarmed by all the gunfire.

Deer are all over southern NJ. Damn things are like rats.

There’s a Tom, Hen and 3 youngn’s that come by every day to feed on seed I toss out for the squirrels and birds.

And there’s three spotted fawns and a doe that hangout the in the backyard every so often.

Two raccoons woke me in my bedroom last night! One stood on hind legs and looked at me like “go back to sleep “. Wasn’t scared of me at all. Got them out and one kept trying to come back in. I do not eat in my bedroom so they had no food source there. My room was just an easy room for them to get to. I have to call a raccoon control specialist tomorrow. Don’t want them eating my dogs.
