Play them on an XP machine - or give up W10 completely.

XP is no longer supported.
Hasn’t been for sometime.
I’m sure that you can still play them on an XP machine.
I can’t play ps1 games on my ps4, and I bought them.

I was forced to update my windows 8 to 8.1 which was quite poor also. My my perfected update took me to MacBookPro. The recent 8.1 update rearranged my tool bar and favorites. My saved pictures will not open anymore due to screwed up updates. wIndows is so arrogant that I do not want to deal with them anymore. It is one thing to not supply my needs and another to destroy what I need. Good riddance windows.

There are free versions of those games everywhere on the net.
Find them and re-install.

They are all available for free on the WIndows Store.

I’ve had these removed several times by MS updates on Windows 10. I guess they hate them. Search for “Windows 7 Games for Windows 10” and download them — I’ve had to reinstall them several times now.

I lost my default home page after 20 years (Free Republic) and it takes 3 or 4 clicks to pull it up every day. I am slowly moving my favorites from windows to firefox . Enough is enough, and my daughter has worked for MS for 20 years.

You can’t expect a free game from an orphaned OS to run forever. No doubt a current work alike version is available for free on line.

It’s got nothing to do with XP support. There is nothing inherent in XP that doesn’t allow those apps to run under Win 10. I’ve been using Win 10 for almost a year and the apps ran fine during that time. Nor is it a question of support.
A PS4 is a totally different issue, as it uses an AMD “jaguar” 8-core processor. I think it has Windows 10 support, but I’m not sure. That’s not the issue. The issue is removing an app that I had previously paid for without my permission.

I paid for those apps when I bought XP Microsoft will tell you that you only leased the rights to the OS. And that the free apps are only there at their good graces.

I’ve looked, but none are the same as the original versions. Indeed, many of them are cloud-based, which I hate, since it demands an internet connection to run.

Same happened to me when I went from Windows 7 to 10. Lost a lot of good applications, and win-10 cannot decide if I am in the USA or Norway.

The issue is removing an app that I had previously paid for without my permission. The issue is that you're running an OS that thinks it owns your hardware--and acts on that premise.

I would suggest everyone abandon Google, too. I’m now using DuckDuckGo for my search engine and I cannot see any difference, other than they don’t sell my searches to anyone, nor do they scan the results and remove any hits that don’t fit their political philosophy.
