I was forced to update my windows 8 to 8.1 which was quite poor also. My my perfected update took me to MacBookPro. The recent 8.1 update rearranged my tool bar and favorites. My saved pictures will not open anymore due to screwed up updates. wIndows is so arrogant that I do not want to deal with them anymore. It is one thing to not supply my needs and another to destroy what I need. Good riddance windows.

Worth repeating:

It is one thing to not supply my needs and another to destroy what I need. Good riddance windows.

Amen. All they want to do is put out superficial "cheese" changes that do not improve anything, and to force you to allow them to control *YOUR* system.

Microsoft can go F*** themselves.

W8 was really terrible!( Dead computer- could not resuscitate!) 8.1 was better, but still sucked. Haven’t touched 8.1 laptop in a year and a half now. It should work, though. But there’s no ether cord.
I just don’t do WI-Fi anymore. Except if we want to watch a particular movie or something. Microwave paranoia.
Look it up on you tube.
