Bombshell: Dan Coats Out, John Ratcliffe In At ODNI
DB Daily Update ^ | David Blackmon

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This is a big, big deal:

Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump · 14h I am pleased to announce that highly respected Congressman John Ratcliffe of Texas will be nominated by me to be the Director of National Intelligence. A former U.S. Attorney, John will lead and inspire greatness for the Country he loves. Dan Coats, the current Director, will....

Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump ....be leaving office on August 15th. I would like to thank Dan for his great service to our Country. The Acting Director will be named shortly.

Congressman Ratcliffe can now expect to be demonized by the Democrats and their toadies in the fake news media because, well, that’s what they do. But Ratcliffe, a former U.S. attorney who is in his third term in congress, is well-qualified for the job and any of the 53 Senate Republicans who oppose his nomination will do so at their own political risk.

The departure of Coats, a long-time establishment Republican DC Swamp rat, has long been considered to be crucial to the process of declassification of key documents necessary to get at the truth of what really took place within the Obama DOJ/FBI/CIA/State Department during the runup to the 2016 elections. Coats has long been an impediment to that process, and you can tell the character of a man by looking at who his friends are.

For example, here is what ex-FBI Director and current National Teenage Drama Queen James Comey had to say upon learning of Coats’s “resignation”:

James Comey ✔ @Comey Thank you, Dan Coats, for serving our nation so well and for continuing the proud tradition of Directors of National Intelligence loyal only to the truth. Hopefully you won’t be the last.

Then there is Democrat Senator Mark Warner of Virginia, who got caught in the fall of 2017 soliciting damaging information from Russians in a recorded phone call, and has spent the last two years doing his best to cover up for Comey, John Brennan, et al:

Mark Warner ✔ @MarkWarner The mission of the intelligence community is to speak truth to power. As DNI, Dan Coats stayed true to that mission.

Thank you for your service, Director Coats.

There will no doubt be much more high praise for Coats from the four murky corners of the DC Swamp today, but you get the picture.

Here is why getting Coats out of his position is so key to declassification: the Office of the Director of National Intelligence has the final say on what documents will and will not be declassified and released for public viewing. Signoff from the DNI is the last step in the process, and the presence of Dan Coats in that job is one of the main reasons why the process has been held up thus far.

The function of the ODNI is to coordinate efforts between the nation’s alphabet soup of intelligence and law enforcement agencies. The directors of all of those various agencies all have the opportunity to object to the declassification of any document that is somehow relevant to their operations. Any director who does so must justify their objection to the DNI. If the DNI agrees with the justification, it then becomes his job to communicate the decision to the President.

Rumors have long circulated that Coats has essentially served as a rubber stamp for the worthless FBI Director Christopher Wray and any other agency director who has wanted to hold up the process.

Thus, the firing of Coats – and make no mistake about it, this was a firing – was essential to the ultimate success of getting the truth out to the public. Wray still remains, but he can now be neutered by an effective and honest DNI.

So, you should expect an absolute war over the nomination of Ratcliffe, because the Democrats and their media toadies are unalterably opposed to the public getting the truth about the Obama-era illegalities. Sadly, you will no doubt see some Senate Republicans take a similar stance. If the Swamp can get to four of them, Ratcliffe’s nomination could be torpedoed.

The good news is that Ratcliffe and the President must have been assured by Mitch McConnell that the votes to confirm him are there; Otherwise, he would not have accepted the nomination.

Let’s hope so. The success of this nomination is vital to the entire process.

That is all.

Ratcliffe is the one who really went after Mueller re the statement in his report that he did “not exonerate” the President.
I cheered Ratcliffe during that exchange, and it was replayed many times on Fox.

Three years ago Trump was talking about eliminating the DNI role. Why not take this opportunity to do it?

Dave:

The bombshell is the collateral damage inflicted by the interim DNI appointee.

EXPLOSIVE headline makes it so. No doubt Trump is done after this most recent abuse of the office. Or something.

Wrong, David. The President of the United States is the ultimate classification/de-classification authority.

Agree. But not just Hannity. All the media/social media crowd do this constantly.

The other issue, really becoming annoying now, is the tendency to report future events and/or intentions:

“Mulehead mulling . . . .”
“Trump considering . . . .”
“DemoKKKrats planning . . . .”
“Pentagon intends . . . .”

This is just BS sloppy lazy reporting. It is certainly not NEWS which is about ACTS or EVENTS that have already happened. An intention is fine, but means nothing without action. Everyone “considers” everything. All sorts of people plan. I “plan” on winning a Pulitzer and owning my own Caribbean island . . . .

It may be a timed explosive. It appears that Trump is laying the ground work for all sorts of stuff to be made public, but at a time that is most damaging to the democrats and positive for his being elected to a second term. i.e. a lot of stuff seems set to explode beginning next year.

“The truly biggest, loudest bombshell of them all was that Hillary orchestrated and paid for the Steele report and the report was used by the FBI, the DOJ, and all the intelligence agencies as legitimate.”

That and the fact that Muller’s team was made up of HRC partisans. She might as well picked his staff.

Imagine that. A failed presidential candidate creates a fake scandal for the new president then gets to staff the police investigating the fake crime. Plus has all the media on their side pushing the lie.

And she still lost (again).

I always wondered what recommended Coats for the job in the first place...

Ratcliffe announcing his stance before the official announcement of his appointment.

He seems to have no problem going after 'Obama officials'.

John Ratcliffe: AG William Barr will deliver justice to any Obama officials who committed crimes

(excerpt)

A top Republican investigator said accountability is coming for any of those individuals who may have committed crimes during the Trump-Russia investigation.

With the Justice Department conducting a review of that operation, Rep. John Ratcliffe said during a Fox News interview Sunday that he trusts Attorney General William Barr and Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz to provide answers.

And while Ratcliffe said he does not want to prematurely accuse any specific person of a crime — as Democrats have done with President Trump — he stressed that it is clear crimes were committed by people during the Obama administration, including government officials.

The trouble with a lot of you guys, is your addiction to the cynical attitude to certain words. You see BOOM and you can't wait to 'virtue signal' how wise and knowing you are. Most of you wouldn't know a BOOM it it retched up and bit you.

I'll tell you why this is a BOOM.

Coats is a derp, and he was in position to block DECLAS. DECLAS was on hold until Mueller was dead 'n buried. Now he is.

It was known (by some) that Coats was a 'dead man walking' since at least February, yet he was kept in place.

It's no coincidence that the moment Mueller was totally over, that Coats is fired. Yes fired, in case you don't get that either.

February 18.

DAN COATS OUT [FORCED] (SOON) - Source = Trump friend Chris Ruddy.

Interesting this leaked already.

He had to go to clear the way for DECLAS. You did read the part about he has the final sign-off, right? Even though Trump bypassed him in the DECLAS process and gave authority to Barr, he could have still made trouble.

May 23.

Why did POTUS circumvent DNI Coats (normal protocol for DECLAS) and give AUTH directly to AG Barr?

So, yea. BOOM. You guys just don't know how to recognize BOOMS quite yet.

The road is clear for DECLAS. The timing has been set all along. It's a little thing I like to call THE PLAN.

Trust it.

p.s. If it would help, when you see the word BOOM, mentally replace it with HUGH AND SERIES.

I think Trump isolates these Deep Staters, boxes them in, slowly strangles and suffocates them until they quit, or get fired. Keep in mind how infected DC is , Trump couldn’t very well knock them all out at once, sure that sounds good on the internet but not realistic.

Notice Wray has been pretty quiet as FBI director, he probably knows his time is coming.

Just my 2 cents.

It's a little thing I like to call THE PLAN.
Trust it.

Explain it.

Maybe line it out with bullet points or something.

Trusting without seeing requires faith.

I ain't looking for any new religion but I'd be interested to see any plan that I should be trusting.

Seems a perfectly reasonable stance, no?

Explain it.

Are we doing this again?

Okay, THE PLAN for dummies AGAIN!!!!!!

a. The first step in the plan is to understand, unlike the barking know-it-alls around here, that Trump HAS a plan. Without that basic understanding, people end up like you, HG. Lost and confused.

b. Take down the deep state worldwide.

c. Profit.

Simple as that, really.

For proof that there IS a plan, consider events since Trump was elected. But this time with the understanding that there is a PLAN.

Things will look different. They really will.
