I don't whether to laugh or cry about this article. The 29-year old congresswoman from NY who is telling us we need to completely overhaul the US Economy is stumped by a garbage disposal..... Actually I think it's funny but indicative of how ridiculous she really is...

Exactly. The woman grew up moderately well off in a well off neighborhood. BTW, hers was not the only Puerto Rican family there, since most of them are indistinguishable from their non-Puerto Rican neighbors and live the way everybody else does - they send their kids to college, they drive nice cars, they have garbage disposals...

I suspect AOC was told she needed to do something relatable and she thought that discovering the wonders of a modern kitchen (like the Beverly Hillbillies; remember the ceeement pond?) would be it. I suspect Democrat’s relatability consultants are Ivy League professors who are even more out of touch with the great unwashed masses of us deplorables that they are of no help.
I run into many educated professional types who can barely function.

i live in the Yorktown area- very few people here have garbage disposals in there home- always a concern some kid would stick his hand in them- so its likely completely true...
She could well not have grown up with one, but she certainly has seen them and knows the deal.
