Harold’s is about the best I ever tasted, next to my grandma’s.
There is no such thing as great fried chicken outside the south...
Its not that hard, but Yankees and west coasters always think they can do something better... and they cant.
After the franchise joints changed their frying grease they all suck everywhere. Yucch!

Love that chicken at Popeye’s.
I still love good old KFC, all dark original. Ive tried some of the others and they never did much for me. I just wish they had better sides.

Soak it in butter milk for 12 hours before frying.
Use a bit of baking powder too with your flour with salt and pepper. Pan fry in a cast iron skillet.

I used to love KFC. For years now, those KFC place near me serve a far inferior fried chicken.
Stroud’s in Kansas City, MO...best I ever had.
Popeyes in downtown Chicago was excellent years ago....don’t know about now. The ones in the suburbs that I have tried have blown.
