Gay mayor Pete Buttigieg is on the warpath, and the main target in his sights in vice president Mike Pence, right behind that is the biblical model of Christianity. Buttigieg says that it’s time to more on from that old model, to something that is more ‘inclusive’ and ‘humane’. Why? Because the bible is against the LGBTQ+P for pedophile lifestyle, and Mayor Pete is not happy with that.

What someone should tell Mayor Pete is that God did not make anyone gay, lesbian, transgender or anything such like thing. Romans clearly tells us that those things are the result of sin, calling the LGBTQ+P for pedophile lifetyle a ‘vile affection’ that needs to be repented off. Yes, the bible absolutely tells the gay and transgender to come to God exactly as they are, but that after they come, God will change them into a ‘new creature’ that will be quite different from the current one.

Please explain yourself better then. It sounds like you’re “butting” against a victory view of Christianity — where nonetheless, Christianity can’t sit in armchairs to get that victory. It needs to act with holy gumption which the Lord will gladly supply to those willing to get it, or it’s going to have a mediocre witness and effect at best.

The left is starting to push for the end of religious freedom in this country because Christianity isn’t Marxist and isn’t leftist, that is to say, part of the approved ideology. Christians already run some of the most “humane” charities around the world saving people’s lives, while intolerant leftists can only attack them and do very little to actually help people themselves. Whatever happened to letting people live, believe, and speak their consciences? Why do the leftist feel the compulsion to control everyone else?

Christ earns your salvation — now it’s up to you what you USE your salvation for. I think holy gumption with gusto is a real good use for it, but that kind of faith has to “go to the gym” as the bible puts it in the Greek. You won’t be good at any sport if you don’t exercise first.

I wasn’t saying you asserted this, but commented I felt you were sounding like it in the comment. I know you know better and would not assert salvation is earned.
This whole Buttigieg thing is driving me crazy. The Fake News Media have now created this whole mythology around him, that he is a “devout Christian,” which is absolutely false, for the following reasons:
1. A believing Christian cannot be unrepentently engaging in homosexual sex. That is counter to the whole nature of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. See, e.g., 1 Cor. 6 which says those practicing homosexuality cannot be saved, numerous verses in the New Testament that say continuing to engage in sexual immorality is incompatible with having been redeemed. Jesus Himself said that those engaging in sexual immorality cannot be saved and will be barred from Heaven. Rev. 22:14-15.* (I don’t know why more people don’t quote these verses in response to “Well, Jesus never said anything about it.” He did. In fact, some translations of these verses say the term “dog” used means homosexual, referring back to the term used in Leviticus for homosexual prostitutes.)
2. They tout this guy as being a “devout Episcopalian.” Episcopalians are NOT Christians, they are a counterfeit cult that is controlled by the LGBT. Various heresies they believe and promote include: (a) They don’t believe in the authority of Scripture; (b) they believe that once you are water-baptized, you are assured to go to Heaven despite anything you do the rest of your life; (c) Your “baptismal covenant” is to engage in social justice (not to repent from your sins and follow Jesus); (d) there is no requirement to seek to live a holy life or follow God’s commandments — since you automatically go to Episcopalian Heaven once you are water-baptized in their church, there is no requirement for anything else.
