It's been a while since I had babies to deal with. However, I was in the super-market today checking out when I saw a locked case of baby formula in the front of the store.
Baby formula. Locked up. Why?
I was thinking maybe somebody out there knows why that is so.
Theft, plus there are special baby formulas for preemies & babies with a variety of specific needs.
The WIC vouchers are a pain in the butt for cashiers because every item’s brand & exact size is specified, so when the mom gets the 14 oz. cereal instead of 20 oz., it holds up the line while she goes to get the right one.
Then the line is held up again while the cashier goes & gets the key for the formula.
WIC is a stupid, redundant program. It exists because people spend food stamps on junk food.
Shoplifting
EBTs can’t be used at casinos & strip clubs.
But people often sell the EBTs at a discount for cash.
How lovely.
:-/
Or if the thieves are out of town and what specific out of town, the thieves are from.
That would be one humdinger of a sentence to run through a grammatical analyzer/parser.
It is a high theft item, especially in certain neighborhoods.
Cigarettes
Think about what you just wrote.
All most as a humdinger as this one is!
‘That would be one humdinger of a sentence to run through a grammatical analyzer/parser.”
Thanks! I can hear my senior high school English teacher agreeing with you.
She would have accepted the first sentence here.:)
Obviously racist.
LOL...gotta’ keep an eye on those little rascals...
Then the answer is cleverly disguised as your question?
Other than that your question doesn’t appear to come close to urban dictionary RFI.
A few years back I read that the two most shoplifted items in the U.S. are disposable diapers and infant formula. So there ya go.
>>>Think about what you just wrote<<<
Actually, I wrote it to make other people think about it.
News to me, but here ya go:
Milk sugar tastes better than baking soda.
Cocaine (powder) and milk sugar and a flame makes crack (hard solid).
Working in retail, I could write a book on people stealing and co-workers didn't care, like once I was going to work (at 12 noon) at a now defunct computer chain. A person walked in took a ladder and helped himself to an IBM desktop computer. He was walking out casually, so I told him have a good day enjoy your purchase.
Another time while working at the same computer store chain, the district manager asked me to work at another store because it was losing money, I found out why, the shipping receiving manager decided to sell computers online (more computers went out the back door than the front door).
Because it is so often stolen, whether for use or sale.
Proof that when digital money is tracked, people will revert to valuable trade goods for trade.
Baby formula, deodorant and Tide have been locked up in the city groceries and pharmacies for as long as I can remember. They are money on the black market.
