Tariffs play a role as well.
But I’m surprised she wants to support President Trump on the Tariff issue.
As far as borrowing goes — that’s just a bad idea. Always was. Always will be. In time of War, I could see it. But today? We should not be borrow any money and we should live within our means (and pay down the debt with tax and tariff revenues).

She is absolutely correct. Government spending is done with credit way too much. That is called National Debt. It is already so large that it will never be repaid except by severe poverty later on. Taxes are spent servicing the debt but the government uses it as its own personal money stash to buy whatever wants regardless of how much is collected in taxes. AOC is letting that cat out of the bag.
Yeah.....and we could just borrow some money from Puerto Rico.
