I was falsely accused of having an affair and fathering a child with a woman I never met.
A WOMAN I NEVER MET.
I am a reasonably locally-prominent person. I had the misfortune of being on the front page of a local paper one day when a lady I'd never met gave birth. I gave a lot of money to a school.
She saw me on the paper. She saw I was wealthy and reasonably important. So when the clerk came in with the birth certificate form to fill out, she put my name.
She went on welfare and concocted a giant story of an affair. She was very convincing.
I was briefly forced to pay child support until I spent a lot of money on DNA tests (yes, plural). All came back that the kid was not mine.
I had to attend court several times. I took a deposition. I had to attend court-mandated parenting classes for a child I never wanted to see. I never got my money back.
Probably all in, it cost me $50,000, counting my lawyers.
I almost got a divorce. People gossiped, and do to this day.
Nothing ever happened to the lady who lied. It's a crime to put false information on an official form, but despite my requests to prosecute, nothing happened.
My name remains on the birth certificate, as there apparently is no way to change it. My lawyers take this into account when they set up trusts and wills and whatnot for my estate.
All because some random bitch lied.
Watched it with each of my sons. They both want to see it again. If I had my way, I’d screen it for my Troop.

2008 was not the dark ages, so I don’t buy it, but very sorry you had the problem in the first place.
To clarify: we literally don’t let anyone know anything we do.
Certainly no social media.
No charitable or social involvement.
We use corporate shells to own things.
We don’t answer the door.
Our kids’ pictures weren’t in their yearbooks.
We don’t even know what our neighbors look like, let alone their names.

My experience has been that woman , especially but not always, formally edumacated and credentialed females, seem to lack basic common sense a lot more often than males.

I don’t really care what you buy, but I heard the judge with my own ears state that he had no authority to order the birth certificate be changed, as it was not contemplated by the statute.

To sum it all up at this point, there are going to be a whole lot of nice, decent women who won’t be asked out or be bought drinks and dinner. I feel sorry for the good ones.

Women lie all the time, big and small. Has nothing to do with craziness. Many many women are just bad people and will do whatever they can to benefit themselves. this society doesnt ever go hard on them because they are women. they suffer zero real consequences, never to the degree a man who does what they do would receive. they have every incentive to do this stuff, and its increasing.
My son sets up his phone to record one-on-ones. At Microsoft, men are refusing to take one-on-one meetings with women for any reason. No close door meetings.
If the ladies have a prayer in heaven chance of actually achieving ANY success at all in business, they will start shunning false accusers when they are found out.
Not going to happen, because accountability isn’t on the short or long list of things the opposite sex is known for.
