If you’re going to arrest him do it, and handcuff him. What’s with the enforced yoga instructions. I’m not all that flexible and would have had a hard time complying myself.

You got things like Live PD which lives up rather well to the tagline ‘America’s Ride Along’ where you get to see many well trained officers who do what people expect them to do, sometimes butting up against some incredibly obnoxious people.

You’ve got hundreds of hours of live broadcast that show how officers are supposed to act. And then you get 30 seconds videos showing an officer doing something which would have gotten any non-officer arrested and put in jail. And it’s justified because the guy didn’t completely follow orders.

Mind you, I blame the guy for not following orders just as much. Don’t be stupid, just follow directions to the best of your ability, and hold flippin’ still. And of course, we’re only seeing part of the situation, not what happened moments before, what the call was, etc.

Officers need community support, they need people to not just pick up their cell phones and video, but telling their fellows to just hold still, comply with orders, things can get figured out. That’s not going to happen with videos like this.

The blue line isn’t doing themselves favors by acting like thugs with a non-combative “perp”.

Pretty evil IMO.

Suspect did not comply with orders to put his legs straight out. Since we don’t know why this man was being detained because we have only a few seconds worth and it isn’t the police body cam but some ‘citizen’ .....

It’s almost as though some of these cops were intentionally hired because they were shown to have some kind of psychological issues that may lead them to pull this crap and make all cops look bad.

On the video, it looked like initially the guy was standing and the policeman was telling him something, THEN the guy chose to ignore the policeman and sat down on the sidewalk.

NOT the same, as if some guy was sitting on the sidewalk and the police walked up to him and tased him,

Consider it a love tap up side the head with a black jack.

Do I have your attention now?

Thank you for your compliance.

Generally, I agree that if you don’t promptly comply with a cop’s legal orders, then you get what you deserve.

In this cape, the Nazi cop is an idiot. The situation is controlled, the cop’s safety is assured by the man sitting and back-up is seconds away. All the jackass cop needs to do is continue instructing the non-compliant fool while keeping the TASER aimed at the perp. That’s it. If he begins to get to his feet, the cop can always TASE him then.

The Nazi cop over-reacted. I am seeing an acceleration of bad policing and overreaction from police and it is sickening. Yes, there job is increasingly more difficult and unsafe, but common sense should prevail. You have a non-compliant jackass but he is sitting down where the cop is in complete control and it only takes a second to deploy the TASER should the sitting man try to stand or run or turn around.

The Nazi cop should be fired. Period.

I guess electric stimulation is okay to use on a detained American citizen, but not on terrorists?

What about this guy’s right to remain silent, or is it only a right after he’s been arrested? Is it just me that thinks this is wrong?

Let’s face it, because of political correctness, qualifications and standards for police officers have been drastically reduced.

” Officers stopped Mr. Williams after receiving a 911 call about a man with a baseball bat, the police said. When one of the officers arrived, there was no bat to be found, but the officer saw three people telling Mr. Williams to get away from them, the statement said.

The officer told Mr. Williams “several times” to sit down and he refused to comply, the police said. Instead, he kept asking a woman in the group to give back his Social Security card.

A couple of minutes later, Officer Bernot arrived and instructed Mr. Williams to sit on the curb, the police said. The group of people later told the police that Mr. Williams had exhibited “erratic behavior” and “wanted to fight.”

The police said Mr. Williams was found to have an outstanding criminal warrant for possession of a controlled substance and public drunkenness. He was arraigned and released on $5,000 bail.”

Officer was JUSTIFIED!

ERRATIC BEHAVIOR, REFUSING MULTIPLE COMMANDS, MULTIPLE TIMES!

BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!
